how many times are you going to say i didn't know about the elevator algorithm before you realize you don't know what you're saying? its a scan algorithm. that's all it is. the term elevator was made up by promise. its a marketing term. you're talking about it likes its some great revelation that only your software card is capable of executing. i haven't seen the term used by any other manufacturer yet they all have cards the execute the exact same algorithms.

i continue to dance around? i'm dancing around the fact that your software cards creates unnecessary overhead and has dependency limits that both factor into its lack of performance which hardware cards do not have? interesting i didn't realize i was dancing.

i've never heard a hardware raid card taking out drives, or an entire set of drives. or having an array fail during every test that stresses I/O

i didn't realize pci1x 4x, and 8x all had the same bandwidth. i'm glad i now know that pci8x provides no more bandwidth that pci1x.
