FSX. Getting sweet performance with my ME rig finally, after endless hours of tweaking. But it was worth it - screenie below (fps around 25 unless flying into some insanely busy airport with loads of traffic - like LA Intl haha).
Oh, and now running 3825MHz 24/7 with DDR3-1700 at 7-7-7-20-1T. Sure - the quad-Raptor RAID0 setup also helps with a SiSandra rating of 170MB/s (compared to 62MB/s using just one Raptor and 46MB/s with a Samsung SpinPoint 7200rpm)

hi all
i don't know if i should make a new post or just reply here, im having a problem with my ASUS Striker II Formula actually i narrow it down to one of two things:
1)ram im using 4x1gb ram and its knows that Nvidia board have issues in that area.
2)SLI iv read some posts that Asus sli users have to change some setting in BIOS to get it working properly.
my problem is that most games "FSX, COD4, DIRT, TF2, HL2" freeze after 1.5~2 hours of playing .
hardware:

Hmm how do you guys determine which voltage to push for? As in, i have no clue if i have a BSOD, should i increase vcore, gtl or what? Any guide on this?
What wrong with my board ???
Look at the SB temp... how does it even report 96°c when is supposed to shut down at 90°c

this mobo isdriving me crazy!
One of my HyperX 9600 sticks will not work on it. I gave the 2gb kit to a friend to test it on his eVGA 680i and it worked for him.
What could possibly be the problem here?
Also, nb/sb temps are in the 60C range. Currently the system is overclocked to 400x9, but can I reach 450 fsb with these temps?

500fsb at last!!
why they used 3/8 instead of 1/2 on the 790i blows my mind. 2ed those adaptors they give just suck ass. I fought for at least 30 mins to stop the leak....while its going everywhere(reason to keep white shirts around)....
Hey, Just got a strikerII Formula
I had brilliant time with my 680i, loved it, except it was stuck at about 3.1ghz once I put my Q6600 in it. I then got an X38, so now I know what my quad is capable of (3.6 @ 1.35v real) I was hoping I could run around this with the 780i.
I was hoping to have as much luck as fordf250, im not attempting to get massive clocks... just nice stable 3.6 or something....
Reason for getting the 780i though, is after using a 680i and the memory clocking potential there is no going back!!. Not to mention with the E6600 in it, my old 680i board ate my X38 for breakfast in benching clock for clock (although everyone seems to argue with that)..
Cpu and GTX on 1/2" liquid with MCR320 and D5 vario pump, have load of fans, even an antec spotcool right on NB. I will post up when I get some distilled water or some coolant for system.
Hopefully all goes well.
Can I ask any advice fordf250 for running 3.6 on the quad? Im not putting liquid on NB this time... If the board wont work, i'll get rid of it. Sick of faulty or dodgy products, try every thing to fix which in the end voids warrenty, and I'm always left out of pocket.

HI ALL
Thanx for the education aiding my double cherry-popping first build / first overclock! Got my Q6600 to 3.285GHz on air then stripped her down for some watercooling. Mostly stock voltages but can't wait to tamper with newfound knowlage on GTL REF V's, hoping to find a stable 3.8GHz once liquified. Just finished making SB waterblock too.
Got one niggling question tho.... EVERYTHING working well but after Shut-Down but three lights stay illuminated and never turn off :
1- ROG logo on NB heatsink
2- Blue Supreme FX stock soundcard logo
3- Numbers lock light on keyboard
Is this normal, or mobo fault or PSU fault ???![]()
Any test suggestions appreciated /THANX

So has anyone seen how to enable TCP/IP Accelleration on this thing? NAM doesnt seem to be showing it.. even the latest version.. Only shows that shows that first packet option in which imo is useless.
I was gaining a huge boost on TCP/IP Accelleration back on my Striker Extreme.. wonder where it went on the Striker II Formula ???
THANX @ GUACOMOLE
Really didn't wanna rma this mobo, faulty RAM already cost me 4 weeks waitPlus this board runs cool NB & SB TEMPS @ OC (49C-65C max)
Not to mention the 2 suppliers that sold me Zalman 8800 GTS waterblocks that don't fit my 2x 8800GTS 512 cards
and won't take them back

So if any 1 needs a VGA waterblock to suit an 8800 GTS (G80 / 320MB or 680MB) Make me an offer![]()

Okay here I have been running prime for 3 and half hours impressive thing is I am doing a blend at 5 minute intervals so that it constantly changes and stresses the system much more than a normal run..
I am very impressed I have to reboot to give you my exact settings but most everything is on Auto but the gtl volts are both at +40mv memory is in sync mode at 4-4-4-12-21-2T I think my NB is at 1.63 cpu is at 1.47 in bios honestly that's it the CPU PLL is really high on auto but whatever loadline is enabled all the spread spectrum is disabled everything disabled that doesn't relate no virt tech or anything FSB=1600 for 3.6
