Are the 'newer' G0 q6600's better OC'ers, in general, than older ones? I have a L721A814 that sits at 3800Mhz (8x475) 24/7, crushing DVD's and rendering multimedia projects at ~100% core usage (Vegas, After Effects, etc..)

I am at the point where I can give away my e6700 in a spare machine to my nephew and was thinking about picking up another q6600.

If your CPU holds 8x475 stable, I'd keep it. Even on new Q6600 steps, it is rare to push above that even with WC for 24/7. You could achieve the same overclock with less vcore though, but temperatures could be the same, and you could just get a chip not even doing 3.6GHz
