Hell yes its a mini-ITX gaming rig!
No coldbug at the xfx card, some report sort of coldbug at -70 but not sure.
When you running 1000+ core and 2500+ shader at 2.5v you need more than just a bigger fanbut you're right about the memory doing the most fps gain.
seen some running 2900 shader, and seen some doing 1170 core![]()

not realy , they where just starting, i know oldscarface can do 1090-2800 with just phase change at 2.3v ......some cards where a lot better. mine was not that good, need a lot of voltage.![]()
Well, mine was really bad. It died with 2.35vgpu watercooled, all FET's cooled with heatsinks and 2 delta's blowing over them.

To give your cards something to chew on, flash the clocks instead of using rivatuner etc. At least it gives me a healthy boost in Nature.
got my mutant in today
oohms you're a pro man![]()

If you upgraded that cooler you could bench inside where it's nice and warm Andy...I do![]()

Mine died but not because of the GPU temps. The XFX card is made for 2v max i believe, and i did 2.35v because i had to know if the OCP mod was working. When running 3dmark01 on water for the last time before i would use phase the stupid card died![]()
I put that sucker under phase and it was no problem to keep it subzero![]()
2v is nothing Andy, try 2.3v or higher, if you dare![]()

My XFX GS got the full treatment last night, will post photos tonight to show my overkill.
Basically doubled every capacitor and put some even where there were none, the choke got a buddy, fully vmodded, and prepared it for LN2 pot mounting.
ROFL tim
can't wait to see what you'll do with it
i bought a PCI express raiser extension to mount this little card horizontally with a kingpin dragon evo sitting on top
LOL should be an interesting project hahahah
I realised that i forgot to post my OVP mod for the gigabyte:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...&postcount=301
(Updated my earlier post)
Tested up to 2.3v (on dinos' card) but mosfets get pretty hot
EEK 2.3v![]()
lol still alive i hope

i can't help myself
i gotta say i get more excited in preparation stage than actual benching![]()

Gigabyte ready to go![]()

At this point Dino realises that his IBM 286 PC only has an ISA slot ...

Andy
checks for ISA>PCIe converter on ebay![]()
Dinos
Problem of the riser card is you have to twist that 4" cable to put a pot on it, not realy easy i think.
T_M
Watch the temp of those 2 mosfets who are on the left side of the coil, those fellas getting realy hot at high clocks and voltage, some cards died at 2.15v and some not even at 2.6....it's a bit of luck....external psu works a lot better.
Cool thanks for the tip there Rol-co, guess ill sink them with some stupidly oversized copper
Here's my first nights modding effort.
Looking now for any other cap locations i can add heh.
Once its all modded up it'll be completely plastic coated and stuck under LN2

hmm the only 2 caps on the right of the coil might be a little help.....the rest...dunno.
good luck.
