No coldbug at the xfx card, some report sort of coldbug at -70 but not sure.

When you running 1000+ core and 2500+ shader at 2.5v you need more than just a bigger fan but you're right about the memory doing the most fps gain.
seen some running 2900 shader, and seen some doing 1170 core
