thats the ati dev/oem beta test driver site from the looks of it, so he would 1 not be able to link it since it requires log in and 2 would get in trouble and fined for breaking the NDA and his account taken if he did have one

I would love to see the results. Any idea how long it usually takes to go from the developer site to the mainstream?

u dont need aa with ati cards unless ur doing something wrong, and its hard to get a game that was made for the g80 and duel 128 shaders to run on a slow shader card with more shaders, its kinda like trieing to out torq an american v8 with a blower when u have a v16 out of italy and have to hit the high rpms

quad crossfire will be interesting to see.

hopefully they dont take 6 months to release.

i just ask for a PUBLIC (ATI site for Download) driver for SINGLE hd3870X2 ...................

i have here one HD3870X2 but no decent driver ( im not asking a very Good driver i just only ask for a decent one that can run Games )

for me , before release a Quad Xfire driver its more important have a decent driver for HD3870x2 !

Just hope they wont release a driver with Quad Xfire suport good in 3dmark (only for ppl see Quad Xfire working ) and then still SUKS in many games with single HD3870X2 and HD3870X2 CF .....................

    regards

Especially ATI's, since Crysis is made for Nvidia cards. :p

Hopefully they won't release them until Q2. When they do, hopefully they have made PROPER work with them. No one wants useless crap.

Just tried the driver with both 2900XT's and 3870's in Xfire. No performance differences. Plus I just noticed that this driver is based off of 8.451.2.

I got 8.453 RC Final that I haven't tried yet so maybe if there's any performance increases then I'll post some results. But I'm not keeping my hopes up high.

    of course they are

thats what i said , that Quad Xfire driver 8.451.2 release today (30th) its probably the same driver beta (8.451.2) released in AMD FTP 5 days ago ( 24Th ) (acording to few reviews solved the BiG Bugs but still very bad in games) , but now they added Quad Xfire HD3870X2 suport ......................

I just start testing the card when a decent driver release , i think makes no sense test/analyse this card with a bad driver , if they dont release a better driver i prefer send back the cad for other else test it ...............

bro, you forgot to add in the rest of the title ...
how low performance per watt is with quad fire.
As Los Alamos director J. Robert Oppenheimer watched the demonstration, he later said that a line from the Hindu scripture the Bhagavad Gita came to mind:
"I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."
Test director Kenneth Bainbridge in turn said to Oppenheimer, "Now we are all sons of b**ches." wiki

    Hence why this is XtremeSystems!

Besides, doesn't the improved powerplay disable all but one GPU when using any form of CrossfireX?
