Unfortunately with 4 GB's or ram you will be limited in what you can achieve in an overclock. For example with 2GB of my Crucials installed I can pass memtest for 2 hours at 1.9 vdimm (real) and 1800 7-7-7-20 however with 4gbs installed I am not stable at 1700mhz 8-8-8-20 and 1.94 (real). Consequently I dropped my OC and Ram down to 400x12 (quad pumped 4 x 400 or a 2:1 ratio to get 1600) 1600mhz 7-6-5-15.

I believe the issue is with the mem controller because increasing NB voltage doesn't help me. I did recieve better stability when I tinkered with the memory ref voltage on a per channel basis but its not an exact science and you will need to try different settings for best results.
Yah I can't do anything with my 4GB but leave it at stock clocking and 1.8v, pretty frustrating.

I guess the lesson learned for anyone reading is stay away from 4 sticks. I'm going to wait for prices to lower a bit and pick up 2x2GB sticks @ 1600mhz.
