Is there a way to set fanspeed for CF3870on vista 64 rivatuner sets the fan back to default on every reboot.

I did im on vista maybe thats the issue and your able to set fanspeed for both cards?

Im not sure about setting it for crossfire, i think you can. But im not sure, someone here with CF should be able to explain it.

Im on vista 64bit, i have no problem setting the fan speed..

I have this card since December and right away installed Cat 7.12 and no reason to uninstall it yet. Why? Why uninstall 7.12? It's the latest. What problems do you have then?

In 7.12 I get nasty flickering problem in many games, but only in crossfire mode. I have 2900 CF system, but some 3850/3870 owners have this problem too. 7.10 and 7.11 plays my games just fine.

I have a problem In vista64 playing crysis in DX10 with crossfire onnce i get to the part when the day starts one of my cards goes into 2d mode making perforamcne horrible doesnt happen if i use the dx9.exe.Iwas thinking of installing those 8.1 beta.

Doesn't that ATI forum have a interface with that MUCH too narrow centered frame with scrollbar at the bottom of the frame instead of the bottom of the browser! Ever since that forum exists it is that way. Btw, on day one i registered, but never received a confirmation email to validate the account, so i could never use it. New account impossible with the same email address. And i can't complain about this without first logging in.
First month it really didn't look very useful forum anyway, i decided to never bother about it.

My point is i wanted to read that post but it is só stretched by the images that it is IMPOSSIBLE to read the text without scrolling down to the frame's scrollbar every single time after reading a sentence to the end, which i gave up after two or three.

I noticed with the new 7.12 drivers, DiRT doesn't work right. It does with the 7.11's though.

With the 7.12 drivers, the cards won't clock up to 3d mode. They stay in 2d. Atleast thats what happens to me.

thx, I fix that overclocking the card, so the clock stay at 750mhz in 2d and 3d, I played the game and when you are alone the framerate is good, in the races with more cars the framerate get a lot lower...
is normal the gpu use around 50% during the game?

That happens when i set the clocks like that too. Try the new 8.1 drivers, those should fix it. They were just released

with the new driver the game runs better.. but still, I think this is a bit strange, the first part I was playing rally, with very good framerates (only one car on the screen), the second part when the gpu use is lower I was playing the races with more cars on the screen and I really can feel the framerate going down... still, is a lot better, but I don know, maybe my cpu is limiting? (brisbane @ 2600mhz), I'm playing at 1024x768 custom (high with AA disable)
