So you don't have noticed anything strage in that mission? when I look to the village, 9 fps. When Prophet is talking to me, looks like CF is not working. Then I turn 90º to the left for example, 40 like you. Can you share your CVARs custom folder to test this thing with it?

BTW where you have taken those SS is exactly where I have the slowdown.
Yea sure thing man, here are my CVARS.

That's strange though, I don't get the FPS drop that you mention.....mine is fairly constant.....have you tried setting Catalyst AI to advanced? I doubt this will do much, as it does nothing for me in this game, but it's worth a shot.
I'm sure we'll get some better performance/bug fixes with the next Catalyst or two, as they will have had time to work with the new patch and Crossfire optimization (hopefully....)

i think the patch has increased about 4 fps here, which is PRETTY nice for a software solution, in terms of "crysis" test.

Btw, did anyone get to make it work, the punkbuster thing, under 64 bit Win XP or vista? lol, i cant play on most of servers because of this, can't believe!

Tried to find some crack or workaround, but didn't find. Do someone knows any way to make it work @ 64 bit?
    My recent configuration:

Works well with Logitech G15 & the v202 software...
Other's results and threads here have already proved you wrong. Not to mention the additional stuff I posted (AI not in bench, shooting, etc)

You arent running the same exact frames as the demo, nothing. You cant honestly sit here and say to me we can compare apples to apples. You cant say just b/c you saw 25 and the lowest you saw was 16 the average is 21.

I ran some benches with FRAPS in the Assault mission (night time)
I'm very pleased with the results....time for more modding:
Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
    2095, 50910, 27, 52, 41.151
Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
    2205, 60698, 9, 52, 36.327
Keep in mind that I have shadows on medium and water on low......
Which reminds me; does anyone (especially you Mascaras) get a HUGE FPS drop sometimes when water is set to medium and higher? Even in scenes without water......I drop to 15-20 FPS when running 35-65 FPS on average.....this alone keeps me from setting it to high or medium. I got this with the old version as well.....but not the beta.

Doesn't seem to be happening on other levels.
Maaan WTF is that? I can confirm this via Rivatuner. The card drops clocks to 2D levels when looking at the village. It happens again when looking at the second village, the one after the wood bridge. And it happens too inside the village in the Recovery mission. It doesn't happen to me in DX10 mode Any suggestions to permanently force 3D clocks?

Thx for sharing the CVARs binormalkilla, testing it right now

Have you monitored the cards clocks when your problem happens? Maybe is your problem too.

    LOL yea sure man....sorry
I normally like to see high res screenshots when I'm at work on a 15" LCD.....so I guess everyone isn't like me.

Here are the newer ones.....added metal and glass shaders to very high.

Anyhow, here is a really good autoexec.cfg that I found at Crymod. It has some MEGA HDR and bloom, but it looks good with minimal loss in FPS. Put it in the patch:
    c:\programfiles\electronic arts\crytek\crysis
and use that with my latest CVARs posted and you'll have some good IQ

It looks ok, but the performance is TERRIBLE ! Try that one that I posted in my previous post.....it's from Crymod's forums, and it owns. I don't know how he got it running so well with those graphics......
I think it's the viewing distance and LOD of the shadows that kills the performance in yours...but I'm not sure, as I didn't actually look at the file. Here are some screens, along with the FPS

Thanks DilTech, you did the forum a favour by removing language like that. I'm sure we can all curse like the best of em, but it really is not cool to post it up on a forum that everyone agewise can see and participate in.

    Hats off to ya,

Actually using the latest two that I posted.....one is a CVAR folder and the other is an autoexec.cfg. It looks amazing.....and I get 30-70 FPS!

What like side by side screenshots or the actual commands? Yours has better looking textures and more detailed shadows, while his has my HDR and bloom......but his runs a lot faster.

You arent running the same exact frames as the demo, nothing. You cant honestly sit here and say to me we can compare apples to apples. You cant say just b/c you saw 25 and the lowest you saw was 16 the average is 21.
I was not even attempting to compare apples to apples... I was simply giving my subjective opinion that it was possible to get the game running @1920x1200 with AA on and get reasonable frame rates with current hardware.

My posts were intended to encourage the good folks on this forum to tweak and play with their rigs / game settings and not to simply get disheartened by poor performance and give up....

    All I can say is WinXP SP3 (3264) + Nvidia 169.28 Drivers + Crysis 1.1 Patch + tweaks = works for me!
