6400+ @ def, mem @ def (1066mhz/5-5-5-15)
flashed with bios from inq site.
904mhz gpu is fine for 3dmark03 but gives me vpu recover in 05.
the funny thing is that crysis timedemo gave me 11fps more compared to stock bios.. same clocks, it just is 11fps faster
flashed in win, didint uninstall or reinstall drivers..

I'm using BETA which is managing FAN speeds properly. It keeps temps at 60C for both cards and still is quiet . No problem with above 860MHz core as well .

Same goes for HD3850 too...
HD3850 256MB (with board 102-B34003)
HD3850 PLL VCO Fixed Bios v010.071
Bios source updated from 10.67 to 10.71...
PLL divider algorithm updated (Engine clock limit fixed)...
Plus other irrelevant technical mambo jambo...
Use ATIFlash with force switch (atiflash -p -f X filename.ext) X = adapter number.
Have fun.
Aye aye

So what is the 3870 BIOS that has the higher load vcore and is designed for reference cards? HIS one?
Friends shouldn't let friends use Windows 7 until Microsoft fixes Windows Explorer (link)
Weird, was it stable 100% at that voltage, i went up to 1.6v and couldn't pass 950, why didn't you go higher than 972?
Also, did you notice that there'sn't much performance difference between 760 and 860? i mean, i got only 100 points in 3DMark'06, and just 1 FPS in Crysis on high settings and 1280 res, it's so weird, as if i'm not overclocking in the first place!

Your welcome!
My cards are reference Sapphire and this BIOS is SuperB for them...Might be that our boards aren't identical
I've flashed from DOS using
Atiflash -p 0 name -f
where -f was important addition to this procedure
I don't need to open RT just to adjust FAN speeds anymore On the other hand IAX BIOS allowed me to clock cards up to 1500MHz from OD (but I couldn't reach it stable )

well i can do 1000mhz core but i need 1.58 volts.. i couldn't get her stable no matter what at 1000mhz until i used my ducting trick to bring in cold air.
normal idle is 45c idle load 62c with ducting 19c load 35c
it would not do 1000mhz with no matter the volts when i had the normal air. but when i chilled the air it went like a mofo.
i have also noticed the little increase of score from 860-960 is about yes 100-200 marks on my weak s939 x2 3800.
but that was lunch so back to work. and more later.
edit: i dont know anything about cap mods. can anyone enlighten me please?
