As you removed the RAM, it is the base 64K memory missing alert

Try removing the bios battery fo some mn, and test with one stick of RAM each time, but sounds as your mb is dieing...
Thanks jonny anc chuckbam. It was actually 1 long, 2 short beep.

I tried your suggestions. Removed bios battery for 5 minutes (got to remove video first). While waiting for 5 mins I tested the video on another machine and works fine. Then insert battery back and video and plug the 6pin video power. Without RAM (only video, CPU and PSU) it gives me 1 long 2 short.

Then insert one stick 2GBHZ, nothing no post. Insert another stick, same nothing. Insert one stick on each slot at a time, same nothing. Can you or someone else intrepret this. thanks!

If my mb is dying or died I will call asus tomorrow monday. Thanks anyway guys!
