I now have my usual 3.8GHz DDR1190 overclock running with 1107 on read delay 6 making 10675mb/s read with 46.5ns latency all it needed was a small bump in voltage for both the NB 1.61v to 1.65v & RAM 2.27v to 2.31v & she's flying.
In the end after playing about with it most of the afternoon, swapping BIOS chips & RAM etc whilst nursing a killer hangover I actually found 1107 performed exactly like 913 with identical setups. The only way 1107 is showing me a touch more bandwidth with slightly better latency is by setting "T2 Dispatch" to auto which is where/how 1107 appeared better to start with as its auto by default & I missed it on my earlier comparison.

Mehhh.....I do not like new Official 11/7/07 Bios! Its slower all the way around compared to 10/5/07 Beta and what worked in 10/05 don't Jive in this Bios and it wants more Voltage like Craig said and their is performance drop if voltage increase was not enough!![]()

I'm still tinkering with 11/07... don't think I'll bother flashing back since ill be getting an x38 board next month and this board gets demoted to 2nd rig![]()

Just pulled the trigger on this board. Cant wait to get my grubby hands on this monster.
Quick questions. For quad core chips, is there a major advantage to WC'ing the NB for FSB? And number two, when is Thermalright releasing the HR-09 type 3?
Thanks in advance!!

Brother Esau i'm just curious how good is bandwidth with the board?
with mine @ 525X7 4-4-4-12 i get 10220 read 9569write 9705 copy 48.5latency in everest

To be honest at my clocks ram @ 1115mhz 266/667 9968 read 54.9 latency
I know my chip can do more but I am not water cooled and it requires more voltage Now what its capable of with a dual core and really high fsb I don't know thats chip Dependant
@TurtleTrax......... Priming for 8hrs in ambient of 73 F I am usually at PWM 43c NB 46C thats with ASC on SB / NB / PWM and Thermalright HR-09 S/U ON ..CPL -4-50 and good airflow over the board

im content now with my 3.2ghz 400x8 1.3v on stock cooling...
so it seems i need more than 1.35v to get above 3.2 and i dont want to put so many volts through it with the inadequate stock cooling haha

Here's where I'm at:
Tightening any subtimings doesn't help latency or bandwidth (I'm pretty sure it would help if I was at 4-4-4-12), this is probably the most 2:3 optimized can get. Perf Level: 5, T2 Dispatch: Auto, and Phase Adjustments CH1:1 6-6-6-7-6 and CH2: 6-6-7-7-6 (plus DRAM options set to FAST and Most Aggressive). I will retest other dividers once I get my Yate Loon fans, MX-2 paste and other stuff.

Alright I'm still getting a reboot after 6 hours of testing and I've been upping volts and so far it seems like nothings working.
I'm at 1.38875 vcore, 1.4 vtt, gtl 100 100 100, 1.45 VNB, 2.10 vram, 1:1 divider, T2 dispatch auto, and memory set to FAST.
It's not the ram, I've memtested that, it's just rebooting after 6 hours...
I guess I'll keep upping the Vcore and see if that does anything
any ideas?

Hey I was wondering what you thought of this where they say what VTT volts go with a certain FSB range. Is that anything to go by?

With a good balance of voltages/settings you will find that the values Raja has written in that article will be pretty much spot-on for most users.
I sure hope so!! Looking forward to a board that you get something out of the time you put in![]()
I will run on the stock NB/SB/PWM cooling untill the Thermalright HR-09 Type 3 is released then I will go watercooling on the NB/SB. It will be nice to see the difference in FSB.
My Q6600 was 4005Mhz stable on my 680i but could not get one Mhz more even unstable. I hope to get more out of the chip. I was hoping to get more out of the X38-DQ6, but couldn't get over 3.8Ghz and only 3.6Ghz stable.![]()
I cant wait to get down to some real OC'ing
