while im at work, i left my comp orthosing for the next 5 hours (8 hours total) (its already passed ~4.5 hours at 266/667 strap, then i stopped orthos and bumped the strap to 333/667 1:1) to see if the 333/667 strap still is stable.
im thinking about backing down the vcore and still keep it at 350x9.
what do you guys think? keep it at 1.3 or just test it out to see if a lower vcore still holds stable

Good to hear it's up. As you get the hang of this board you will find your cpu's potential. take your time and test the changes as you make them. keep a notebook of settings that work and make sure to write down the ones that don't.
The main thing is don't get in a big hurry. This can either be an experience that will make you enjoy computers more than ever or turn you into a dell user![]()
. You have got some great parts there and the help of the best forum there is, so do your homework, take notes and the number one rule .....small steps.

The most significant difference between P35 and x38 is that the P35 only supports 16 pci-e lanes and the x38 supports a total of 32. x38 boards have two full speed 16x pci-e slots - ideal for a crossfire setup.
Other features arent that imporant, some memory tweaking that sounded good on paper but really hasnt amounted to anything as of yet.

Okay, I just reflashed the bios with a floppy drive.
I first unplugged the power to the computer and took out the battery for about 1min. During that time I set the JP2 jumper to clear and then set it back and put the battery back into the mobo. I then did the reset/power button cmos reset for an added precaution, finishing it up by resetting all bios settings to default via the bios.
I then reflashed with the 1019 beta bios. But had the same problems.
So I did the same cmos reset as above and went with the stable v.913 of the bios.
913 was a bit weird. It was giving me a slew of new bios error codes. 96 and 7f. I was halted at the generic "cpu has changed, please press f1 for bios setup" message.
Eventually...5-10mins I was able to get into the bios to save setting and reboot. I was still frozen at post, so I removed all but one stick of memory from the system. This time I made it to the "building dmi pool..." area of the post. Getting to this area was fairly fast. But it would again halt, giving me the error code of 96. After 5mins or so I was able to boot into windows.
Does anyone know wtf is going on? This is the bat file that I use for flashing...
The flash appears to work. During the flash procedure I get no errors and the new bios version is clearly visible at every post.Code:@echo off cls @ECHO OFF A:\AWDFLASH LP35DA19.BIN /cks/sn/py/cc/cd/cp/ld/qi/WB echo "The version of BIOS was inaccurate," echo "Please remove the floppy, download the right one and re-flash." @ECHO OFF
Do I need to send this board out for a RMA or is there a fix? Prior to my flash nightmares, this board was giving me issues when simply overclocking the cpu by a mere 50Mhz.
I know that DFI has some odd issues with certain power supplies. Could my Corsair HX620W PSU be a factor in any of this?
Doubt its the PSU probly Bios chip corrupt and you're PSU is known to work well/

so 350x9 1.3v 333/667 strap passes orthos ~10hours now then i stopped it.
dropped the vcore down to 1.275v to and orthos'ing again. trying to find lowest vcore thats stable with this 350x9 since im on stock cooling.

BTW why after a flash and reset of the cmos do my CMOS Reloaded settings still show up? Shouldn't they be done?
You have to over write them.....Do Not use old Cmos Reloaded settings after flash!
