Taking bets on newegg's time of listing, $5 per ticket, pot is 70% of sales!!! (Hey, I have to rip you off somehow with "administrative" costs!)

Joking... seriously, anyone have any guesses ?

Looks like the memory capacity may be crippling it there on the Crysis AA/AF bench... hadn't seen that review yet.

This card is having the same impact as 7900 GT had when it was launched last year,7900GT > X1900XT.

What brand is that one with the golden stripe ?

    Hey guys, is this true?

The stock cooler of the 8800GT does it work, but not that effective overall. The below temperatures are recorded in an ambient temperature of 23 degree celsius, and the 8800GT is quite a bit hotter on the stock cooler than the 8800GTS 640MB at load. Temperatures were recorded after two runs of 3D Mark 06. For the overclockers, it'll be good if you can go for an alternate cooling solution.

A piece of good news for the enthusiast, the 8800GT comes with similar mounting holes as the the 7900GT/GTX as illustrated below!!! Enthusiast can recycle their Zalman VF700/900 and other similar coolers with their new 8800GT! woohoo!

while the 1900xt was better than 7900gt the 1800xt was not. trust me i have both a 1800xt and 7900gt and the 7900gt is faster.

x1800xt was more or less equal to a stock 7900gt, in terms of performance.
IQ is what set them apart and puts the x1800xt ontop.

while the IQ is a LITTLE better when you oc both the 7900gt destroys the 1800xt.

thats one of the reasons the 7900gt was such a big hit. it could oc like crazy even on stock cooling plus it was cheaper and power consumption was less.

Be sure to post some results later on with that cooler but I'd appriciate if you were able to compare it to the stock cooler to see how good it actually is cuz I might buy same cooler if it does a great job in case I'd pick a 8800GT.
