NOOOOO!!!! *covers ears* LALALALALALA!!!!! Stop it!! *assumes fetal position*

I'm done with this thing for a while. I want to keep my stones right where they are. My wife is very understanding, but I don't want them to end up in a box on the dresser when I try to justify why I need three new GPUs, a new mainboard and CPU, and a PPU in the next few months. Heck, it took forever to explain why I needed to sell my week old 300 dollar Stacker 830 Evo so I could spend 460 bucks shipped on a MM Horizon! :P It's been months now, and I still wake up in a cold sweat every so often.
    Main Rig:
    Q6600 G0 @3.7ghz 1.425V - EVGA 680i A1 (Vdroop mod) - 4GB G.Skill HZ DDR2-800 @1000mhz - EVGA 8800 Ultra SLI @710/2460mhz - 2x WD Raptor X 150GB RAID 0 - 2x WD 500GB RAID 1 - 1x WD 320GB eSATA External - SB X-Fi XtremeMusic - Enermax Galaxy DXX 1000W - NEC 16X DVD±RW DL - 2x Dell 2405FPW (Dual monitor w/ SLI!) - ATI Radeon X300 - MM U2-UFO Horizon
    Dual loops:
    D-Tek FuZion (Bowed) - PA120.3 - Dual DDC2+ w/ PT tops - Swiftech MicroRes - Distilled w/ Red UV dye
    2x EK FC8800 - DD680i NB - PA120.2 - Dual DDC2+ w/ PT tops - Swiftech MicroRes - G11 UV
Temps: 28-29degC idle / 46-48degC load with MX-2! Pics of my build!

    Dedicated Cruncher:

When (Not "if," when) you get your three new GPUs, new motherboard, CPU and PPU, you can give the old stuff to me

Following in RX7boricua's footsteps, I did the Corsair fan cooler mod tonight.
It's laid out earlier in the thread and fairly straight forward to do. The large top sticker layer comes of easily with no more than running a thumb nail under it's corner and peeling off.
The small fan stickers are nearly as easy, needing only to get the edge lifted without damage.
There remains only the two long side transfers. On examination these are a bit more daunting as they look for all the world likeold airfix transfers and I was concerned I'd get a mess. They do come off though and are stronger than they look.
Trick is to find a corner where you can get a scalpel or modeling knife point under the sticker and start lifting carefully. Essentially the same technique used on all six fan hub stickers, slow and steady pealing back the layer gets you there in the end.
You'll find an edge where the side stickers overlaps top or bottom and is slightly lifted, at the end is where you start.
I'm sorry, no macro mode camera, or I'd show the starting point I'm waffling on about. Point is, despite initial appearance the side stickers do peel off. They are strong enough to do it in one piece too.

Awesome Jedda, I told you guys it was really easy! I decided to leave my side stickers on, as you can't even see them in my setup. If they end up bugging me at some point, I'll pull them off. I stuck the blue top cover onto the outside of a big anti-static bag, in case I ever decide that I may want to put it back. I can be so indecisive sometimes! :P

    Not a bad idea!
All my stickers lifted intact and could be easily replaced if you were selling the cooler later on.
Think I'll put mine away on a surplus bag for a rainy day too.
lol There's a whole tool box dedicated to build left overs now.

I only took off the big blue top sticker. It was really easy and that alone drastically improved the appearance.

Really, seriously, all of you should start saving... really saving money....

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=162721

4.5 Ghz on air and 5.0 Ghz on water and 6 Ghz on phase (by Shamino)... 9 second SuperPi (above 5 Ghz)... err... there's nothing like that remotely similar around... poor AMD

Ya know Jedda, if I were muslim, I could legally marry 4 wives in this country. Too bad one is MORE than enough to be with. :P

disruptfarm, My two 8800GTX's run at 44 and 45 idle, 49-50 while playing MOH: Airborne on all full settings. Those temps are with my YL's at 7V btw. Also, I should be getting my 2nd Ultra in the next few days. It'll be interesting to see how the Ultras do compared to my GTX's on temps.

Yes, you've noticed of course how the streets of muslim countries are filled with men.
With four wives waiting at home I'd stay out as long as possible too.

disruptfarm, I'm using Logisys dual 12" UV CCFL kits from Petra's Tech, $4.99 each!

How'd that work out, heat wise?
Jedda, they're awesome! I threw the Ultras in on stock air for a few days so I could play HL2 Ep 2, and they were running 55-60ish idle, and 78-80!!! load. I pulled the stock fans off and put the EK blocks on... Now they idle at 43-44 and load at 48-49 at 700/1150mhz. Needless to say, I'm pretty happy.
