Here's another chip for you guys: the other day a buddy of mine just tested the QX9650 with Maximus and he was quite pissed by the fact that Asus, despite having QX9650 on hand for months now, haven't bothered updating the BIOS: it showed up as a 12GHz+ CPU, supplied wrong voltage etc...

Tsk, tsk, tsk. Asus, pull yourself together. Quickly, it's almost November.

...though I must add that after he set up everything manually (voltage, FSB, divider etc) it nicely ran at 4GHz without any hitch, at 1.42V, right out of the box (no water, LN or anything exotic.) BTW FSB1600 wasn't stable at all.

Any good result with 4x1GB on this board?
Will ditch my GA-X38-DQ6 that does not OC with the same settings twice and canīt OC my OCZ PC9200 over 1067MHz stable or sometimes not even stock settings on everything no matter what BIOS used, seems that board is released way to early or with the crapy chip from first batch that was recalled.
2x1GB or 2x2GB is not an option for me since 2x2 are way to expensive for good kit (Mushkin PC8500).

Sounds like your RAM ain't performing very well. You might want to memtest86 each stick individually, or change RAM manufactures!

Thats 2x1GB you got, i have 4x1GB and the Memory is just fine, tested them on my old Abit IN9 and they ran just fine in 600 when used 4x1GB, but that board don´t OC quad well.
Mening sometimes on reboot it just reboots 4-5 times and need to Clear CMOS to get it up and running again that have hapends even on 2,4GHz on CPU and 533 on mem and with both 1,8V and 2,3V on them witch is stock settings and pass on IN9. Tried all BIOS from F3 to F5H and all is bad on one way.

It definitely is the case on mine. I get BSODs in the blue slots and general instability, especially if running the RAM at high Mhz or tight timings

I would like to get me one of those boards...
    Loonym...You are missed.

    The element of one

    Breathe me in
    Breathe me in

I disbelieve in separation. I close my eyes to see you.
This is for you, everything I am. This is for you, take it from me.
I, I disbelieve separation. I close my eyes
    there's no escaping me
This is for you, everything I am. This is for you, take it from me.
In your heart in your soul. I perceive rejuvenation

Breathe me in. I am forever. Deep within I am eternal.

I will return to you. I am with you always. I will never turn away from you.
