Pete,
I think from the pics, it looks like you are using the blue slots, try the white, they are much more stable for me with the Ballistix![]()

505 bios is nice....the loadline calibration is working... hmm reading from CPUZ 1.41, the idle and the load time is unchanged!!! exactly the same, gonna try the dividers soon
anyway does anyone has any idea where are the voltage measurement points of this mobo??? mind to provide me some pictures of it plz? :P
some initial testing with the P5E on water(at last).
i've also found the new bios's released to be completely flawed and unstable. the latest for the p5w resets the fsb if you change it. on a good side it gave me most of the maximus settings.
i'm rock stable at 3.6 @29c with 1.42vcore.
my highest stable speed so far is 3.9.... i'm glad i didnt pay the extra 70 quid for the maximus now....![]()
besides its the same board..... yeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaa!

OK if you want to talk about another model board move it to another thread that is for that board.just a idea
ok so its same pcb but dif bios and most likly some parts on the mobo are dif manufactures will some times make a generice board with multiple ways to layout some parts. just don't thinks the board will give a acuret view of the board this therad is about.

Just to interject something....Maximus is far sexier than the p5e![]()

Anyways 0505 rocks, went from having to pump 1.4875v into my quad, to 1.4250 (stressing now, 6hours in)... I didnt try 1.4v probably should have but heres current settings.
CPU - 1.425v
PLL - 1.6v
NB - 1.49v
FSB - 1.4v
CPU ref - .63x
NB ref - AUTO
Load Line Calibration - Enabled
OK guys something i came across, i found out 5:6 gave me a higher bandwidth with a lower frequency, 1021 is faster at 5:6 than 1066 with 4:5. lower latency as well.

it was enable... should i increase like my ppl volt or nb or sb volt??
i changed few things like that i read i a earlier post i dont know if this is good or not thanks:
Vcore = 1.55v
CPU PLL = 1.8v
NB = 1.730
DRAM = 2.2v
FSB T. = 1.6v
SB = 1.175
SB 1.5v = 1.850
not stable ....

Gotta test that new bios, If I could get my 9x445MHz FSB stable with Q6600 G0.
BTW, is there working Asus Probe II for Vista X64?
And does Vista have ICH9R Raid drivers or do I have to slipstream them or something?
