with the only good f3 bois lol cant do much
but p35 wasnt that good with first bios neither

X38 not that good with 1:1 divider.... it needs more bandwith. too bad i dont have rams that can do 650+mhz. 10.0xx very possible with that speed.

I did some reference test (3DMark 06) at 3600MHz with an 8800GTX and ATI 2900XT.
Interesting results.

I am going to do the same test with other M/Bs for comparing.

It is very useful to have a reference 3Dmark test…. at the same frequency

i and another guy from hardwareluxx forum in germand did some comparioson on ga-p35-dq6 and ga-x38-dq6 with crossfire only and many other tests

x38 is nice if you have got a good quad that works greater than 3,2 ghz und crossfire then is very good and would be good for these people to change from p965 or p35

designed to work with quad cores & newer 133fsb/45nm cpu from what I can see on the box.

mine was "plug & play"... Just some more fine tuning... still trying to get the meaning of some of these xtra voltage options over the P35-DS4 here... wonder if the P35-dq6 has same voltage options as I would prolly flash my ds4's bios over to the dq6 if possible for some added options...

gigabyte comes out with 3 crap bioses within days of board commin out now a week+ n no word of a new bios

from what i've seen most people use F3 really well and that bios for me kicks arse

i will get a chance to test newer ones in a few days but until then F3 is really fast and doesn't limit me in any way...in fact it improves and shows the power of X38 over P35 for me already in terms of RAM timings and MHz

personnally i like f3 just my bsods pissin me off
i did some more testin finnally got 4 sticks working
you have to set pcie on auto if you set it 91-100 it wont boot "somethin new for gigabyte to know"
for sure x38 has pottential
here my tests 4 sticks then 2 sticks fully stable
the difference in minimal in read n write only copy down by 700

F5H works great for me.

absolutely easy as pie getting 450MHz+ on G0 QUADS (CPU FSB wall out though )


The gigabyte at least uses real copper... stupid asus uses aluminum.

was playing around 540 stable somethin happenin @ 541 system crash
but look what happens @ 580
