    Nice.

Just got the board in the other day and went to 400 w/ stock volts as that's always been pretty easy, but noticed this while Orthos blending...

    Just SG freakin' out right?

Hummm, if someone can help me there I would appreciate

    Allright,

I got all my parts today ...

    DFI P35-T2R
2*1 GB Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC8500
    Q6600 G0 (woohoo)
    Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme
and other parts are not important

First, I build it, all was set to first boot

I boot, I see the bios and all good .. it's working

Put Vista CD in, it was slow slow slow ... I was almost at the end and bang, error fiule corrupted or something so .. hmmm

    Tried Windows XP ...

was slow slow slow ... said wtf

I had my Raptor (OS drive) in the yellow sata .. tried in green sata ... ho it works now fast in XP ... try Vista, same error so .. guess my Vista CD is bad or something gonna try in another PC tommorow.

But well, I install XP and everything is oke, install drivers, all good

So now I go into the bios and set my memory to DDR2-1066 MHZ because it was at 800 by default, also setted the voltage to 2.1 to help a bit. Now I wanted to see if my system was stable at stock settings, try orthos blend, banh after 3 seconds error .. hmmm ... go into bios try 2.2V for the memory, into windows, bang same thing

I putted the memory back to 800 mhz with 2V ... orthos is fine now

So I'm wondering what's going on, it's like my memory can't get at the normal speed it's suppose to do.

Anyone got problem like that with that board ? I have the latest bios btw.

Also my temp (stock speed idle) in SG are

    CPU : 18
    PWM : 40
    CHIPSET : 43

    on Core Temp :

    Core 0: 30
    Core 1: 25
    Core 2: 25
    Core 3: 30

is it normal ? .. I didn't installed the heatpipe addon yet, will do soon but I got so much problem so I wasn't in mood to install it

It's a lot of question but I want to know if those temps are normal at stock speed. If yes then I can move on the next level ... but need to know about my memory too ...

Anyway, gonna wait some answers from the pro and will make more test after.

Thank for reading and thx for the help too !

EDIT : Well, my pc crashed again at 800 MHZ with 2V .. now at 800 with 1.8v .. I'm trying to figure out what's wrong ... will wait help

im using them, seems mine might be giving me problems, let me know if you can post with stock bios default dram voltage, as mine wont let me anymore, have to swap in another cheap stick of ram then change the voltage to 2.2 just to post.

Was just testing the new GPU-Z utility by techpowerup (looks up GPU specs).
    It stated at PCI-Ex as 16x @ 1x .... WTF !

rechecked it with everest/cpu-z and it confirmed the PCI-Express was running @ 1x ......

Upped the PCI-Express to 110 and now all is well X16

Haven't anyone else encountered the same problem ?

Honestly don't have any recommendations for you. I know this board seems very picky about RAM. My OCZ Titanium seems very very happy though.

Right above your post you'll see my temps. For reference I'm aircooled in a Stacker 810 w/ 26C ambient. Most settings were stock, but the FSB's @ 400, so CPU's @ 3200. And that pic was loaded w/ Orthos blend.

    Hope that helps.

ps. I started @ page 1 and just flipped through everyone else's pictures to compare my Smart Guardian pics w/ their's. 2 variables always make it tough tho...room temp and cooling.

    edit: i fail @ forums

Well I suggest that you make a permanent signature for future questions so people don't have to go 2-3 pages back to get the info needed.
