Then you are superfine at 285 MHz with those timings!I'd wish mine would do 300 MHz with 1T. They boot fine, and I can test them there to, but orthos fails, and sooner or later they do BSOD, always... much more sooner then later atually
It's not the heat, cause I've tested them at 1T @ like 5c roomtemp, so i guess I'm stuck....at a pretty good speed, so it really doesen't matter for me either, I'll stick to 2T there

3,1Ghz @ 1.525V is not that bad ... mine does 3,2Ghz with 1.35Vwith 14°C watertemp.
i ordered opteron 170, still waiting to arrive. it seems i got LCBQE 0722RPBW. i'm looking into adding some more RAM into my sistem so i have a question here... can opterons run DDR400 RAM at 400MHz when all 4 slots are used with double sided modules, or i will have to ride it at 333MHz (as with winchesters)? i have MSI K8N Neo4-F.
your answers are greatly appreciated!!!
P.S. what do you think about the stepping, is it good for o'clocking?
The stepping is really good, i also have an LCBQE 0722 (but RPAW). But in the german forum a guy has an RPBW, he hits the 3Ghz with 1.35V. So, have fun with the CPU![]()
whew.. 3Ghz at 1.261V. you sure got it rocking, but why not go higher? what about your temps, are you on air or water?
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=158020
My 24/7 config with my new "old" UCCC RAM is 3,1Ghz with 1.36V. This should be enough![]()
nice, very nice!
p.s. do you have any info on the "4 sticks of RAM" issue?
it should run 4 sticks fine BUT you will be running 2T command.
also note that some motherboards can start to limit mem clocks on 4 sticks due to signaling/noise issues. nothing much can be done about that...
LCB9E 0641 APMW @3100 1.65V Decapped ~50c orthos load, TDX+House Rad (passive!)+Eheim 1250, Abit AX8, 2*1gig Crucial PC4000 @ 221 3-3-3-8-1T

It's not just depending on the MB. The CPU also plays an important role because of the integrated memory controller. I'd never run 4 sticks ... why should I? 4x512MB is much more work for the IMC and therefore your overclocking results may be worse. I'm always on the secure side and always run 2 sticks.
Some new review CPUs can run 1T with 4 sticks, but it's very rare.
then i better start searching a replacement for my 2x512s...
This week I'll get some UCCC that run min. 273Mhz. I'll test them as soon as possible. Are you interested? If yes, let's talk per PM ..
Hello all,
Im gonna just have to hope im putting my info where it needs to be.....

hm, first i need to decide what i'm going to do with my current modules.
-Cpu:Opteron 170 LCBQE 0722RPBW(2.87ghz @ 1.300v)
(retired)Opteron 146 (939) CAB2E 0540
-Heatsink: Thermalright XP-90
-Fan:120mm Yate Loon 1650 RPM @ 12V, 70.5 CFM, 33dB
-Motherboard: DFI Lanparty nF4 UT Ultra-D
-Ram: Mushkin High Performance blue, 2gigs(2X1gig kit) PC3200 991434
-Hard drive: Seagate 400GB Barracuda SATA HD 7200.10(AS noisey model)
-Video card: evga 6800GS @520/1170
-Case: P180
-PSU:Enermax 535Watt EG565P-VE FMA (24P)
i still don't know, a friend of mine ordered it from newegg, and i'm still waiting it to arrive.
how high are your temps? is XP-90 better then the stock cooler?
stock cooler is very lousy ^^
Nearly everything is better than that :P
Yeah the alu-block sucks, but the new stock copper-cooler isn't that bad. I use one of those to OC my 3000+ 50% over stockReally doesn't matter if it's singlecore at that speed when that computer is supposed to do nothing more than being online

Hi guys,
I still on air cooling but as the weather gets colder things geting better.
3102Mhz @1.5v,i can't do much at that speed(bencmarking,e.t.c.) because temps jump up to 70+°C but is a start.

It's quite ok but compared to high end aircooling not that good .. i'd say middleclass
