    Arrow G92 is 8800GT 512mb

G92 will not be 8700GTS Finnaly.

It will be launched on 12th Nov. if everything will go well!

8800GTwill be 512MB/256bit DDR3, Dual DVI / TV out, with HDCP and HDMI.

Performance will be between 8800GTS-320 8800GTS-640.

    Price will be between 230-260usd!

Some manufacturers will launch a 256mb version but close to January.

TIP: 9800GTX will be aroung the corner in 30-40 days..
When Mercedes brought their C111 to Talledega years ago and blew away the closed course record did it count? Yes..
That was a "factory" car and a "one of" that no one could buy and was never sold.
Records are records and that is a fact so get over it.

    Patience is a virtue ppl

The G92 will be nice if they don't drop any slow RAM ( overclock-wise )

Looks pointless to me, but they probably thought "why the hell not, we got the goods".

Info on the GTX sounds promissing - Chrismass presents and all

    Thanx for the update.

well form all of the recent review the performance difference between the GTS 320 and 640 is very very small

so this card is not a smart move form nvidia imho unless it will cost less than the 320 to compete with the HD2900pro
    Soon to be :

12 Nov sounds about right, but my sources tell me we're not going to see a new highend NV card by the end of the year; ATI doesn't offer anything competitive either, are you sure ?

Hmm this might be the card I'm looking for, I also think 2900Pro is quite interesting but being a R600 card I fear the card is also bugged in same way 2900XT is by AA so that's not making me pick that card but on the other hand 8800GT might be the card for me but of course a 9800GTS would prolly be quite significantly faster than this card but also probably cost like $150 more so in the end it's all about how much you're willing to spend (or wait).

What I wonder is how many SPs and if this card will be 65nm or not. If SPs are a sufficient and it's 65nm and costs around $250 and beats 8800GTS in performance or offers significant overclocking advantage it might be the interesting card I've been looking for. I hope NVIDIA's target is between GTX and GTS performance on this one cuz there's still quite big gap between those and for $250 that would bring nice competition to the midrange.

November seems awfully far away though.

My thoughts exactly, the fact that G92 will be called 8800GT pretty much gives away the G90 should be called 89xx for sure, not 98xx.

I hope nVidia makes the move and/or introduces its new upcoming cards with GDDR4 and 512bit.

    And also are DirectX 10.1?

They need a die shrink or something as well, my 8800 GTX was a heat-blower, would like to get a card that wouldn't run that hot.

Lots of conflicting info for the new series, and especially the high end part.
They're probably having fun with us, giving us different information

8800gt support were in some old beta drivers btw, and i was like wtf is an 8800gt. just pointless speculation, but i think its gonna have 256sp but have a very high frequency core, making it about equal to an 8800gts.

Hoo boy... my step-up on my 8800GTX expires in mid-December, I hope the new high-end makes it under the buzzer! The end of November sounds perfect if you ask me !

They stated that it performs between the 8600GTS and 8800GTS 640. You should correct your first post. (Unless you are disagreeing with Shamino)

My source is through a manufacturer...Visionary's(not sham's) maybe through nvidia direct or an other manufacturer....everyone has a different source..but all of them are based on a SINGLE one..

All of them should send the same things...

So , i keep what i say in my first post.

It is not my personal opinion..it is from a press release ..
