All they'd have to cater to for "Free 4xAA" is 1080p & under. 2560x1600 is still not a main consumer level resolution and won't be until the end of next year at the earliest (hopeful estimate). They'd probably need 16MB or so to enable 4x AA for free on the mainstream resolutions. The X360 has 10MB for up to 1080p support.
That's pointless, since then NVIDIA will receive lots of bad press for neglecting a segment of the market. Increasing the number of stream processors, etc is much better, since it improves performance across all segments.
