I can't believe the trouble I'm having installing my P5K Deluxe in my case. The trouble started when my ice tea maker quit. That was followed with the following error message when I got everything hooked up in my case:
Chassis Intruded!
Fatal Error...System Halted.
I don't use the chassis intrusion option so the blue jumper was on the default pins. Before this error popped up I noticed that the BIOS recognized the CPU, memory, mouse, DVD drive and hard drive. I shutdown and checked the jumper but it seemed ok. I reseated and restarted several times with the same error.
My ice tea maker is still broken but I got rid of my fatal error. (I hope forever) I decided I would clear the CMOS but I would do it in steps by first pulling the power plug and make my way up to the full process. To my amazement after pulling the power plug my fatal error was gone.
This is the first time that I've seen this error. Could it be that once this happens you need to remove the power from the system before the error will clear?
I can't wait to see what is going to happen tomorrow!
