I meant 19 frames less than the 8800GTX, not 19 frames per second total.

Did anyone ever figure out if it actually is passing audio through the dvi-hdmi connector? I've been curious about that, since I don't see where, or how, it'd be able to do that.

    Just wondering.

It would be impossible, unless they break the DVI standard on the port(s) they want to use for it.

How about an interleaved digital stream, no additional pins are required. Say it starts in a normal DVI mode, detects an HDMI connection and feeds the audio over the extra bandwidth

Not necesarily. Silicon Image developed some chips which were supposedly capable of passing audio without violating the DVI 1.0 standard. I would have thought that this would require a revision of the spec but there might be a provision for transmitting additional data over the link. DVI does pass enough bandwidth to permit this so I suppose they could have allowed for expansion in the spec draft.

Look at the tyranny of party--at what is called party allegiance, party loyalty--a snare invented by designing men for selfish purposes--and which turns voters into chattles, slaves, rabbits, and all the while their masters, and they themselves are shouting rubbish about liberty, independence, freedom of opinion, freedom of speech, honestly unconscious of the fantastic contradiction; and forgetting or ignoring that their fathers and the churches shouted the same blasphemies a generation earlier when they were closing their doors against the hunted slave, beating his handful of humane defenders with Bible texts and billies, and pocketing the insults and licking the shoes of his Southern master.
