I thought ATI wasn't going to have a card to compete with the 8800GTX...

Can't wait to see some scores with new driver. We will be able to compare scores side by side and see how driver is maturing .

Ati Soft Eng have a lot of room for improvement in their driver for R600

Denny can you tell if this 1GB GDDR4 card is going on sale or it is another eng. sample?

PS. Bring more results PLZ! ShaderMark by any chance? for you!

thanks for the info denny and hope the new driver brings even better results.you know we appreciate your efforts and sharing your results with us. keep up the good work.

Can anyone with an XT give us some hints to the temperature of the cards? Hotter or colder then say a X1950XTX @ stock under idle and load?

That might only be telling that ATi has optimised heavily 3dmark and nothing else, so how about real games? There's already been too much new drivers which improve only 3dmark-performance...

Since you don't have a card, or even a friend with a card in hands, and there are no public REAL reviews with game benchmarks, how can you say that ?

    Just wait some more days

I was referring to past driver trends - not exclusively on R600.
