Why I've been saying blackbox was included...forget Fuad!!! Extra game outside blackbox that is included is DOD: Source.

Let's see how long it will last on a heavy overclock all round (cpu, ram, gpu) on a 500w...

    $20 on a month.

True, Source-based games might not show off the best DX10 capabilities of the card, but I think the point is make an attractive bundle (possibly because the card itself isn't the best performer) and they succeeded there. You can bet your ass every gamer and his momma will be in the market for Ep.2.

There is a catch in 2D mode temperature will be about 58 Celsius almost all the time. In 3Dmode R600 chip heats up to average 68.4 or in worst case scenario 71.3 degrees Celsius.

In closed case the situation gets even worst so you can expect even more than 82 Degrees Celsius close to 100 degrees that we originally reported.
that would be a stupidly lame case if the worst case is 71.3c open air then approaching close to 100c when inside. they must've covered all exhaust/vents.

82C...holy nuts. There should be warnings all over the card.

The PSU requirement is scary. If so, it would cost more in electricity than the card after a year if 24/7 gaming.

Im happy about AMD stated this would be the highest power consumption one and the next generations will be lower.

yeah if heatsink is that hot, component in much hotter100c is truly believable seeing that, except that I could point sensor @ boiling water, quickly move it to card, and then snap pic, if i really wanted to show card @ high temps.

ya know.. a x1900xt got pretty hot with just the stock heatsink, the mosfets,
idk. i think according to rivatuners monitoring bit got to well into the 70's (°C)
at stock speeds. so adding a fan to blow towards the mosfets, open end of
the heatsink was mandatory. even today with a ek-waterblock on it, i still have
the 120 fan in place, slower these days, but still. now the temps are in check,
but give it the beans and you'll get 60°C no fuzz - watercooled. so a new card
using way more power than the old generation, i most certainly would expect
to hit these temps. - remember the 6800 series? with the flimsy 1 slot coolers?
they got those temps too, easy.
sky / s!p - we are oldskool, dammit.

It is seeming to me that different manufacturers are giving their cards out with slightly different clocks. The HIS was to be released with 750/850 and Asus above is saying 757/828. I know the differences are much but if this is so I hope we can flash the card with a new bios shortly after release if a certain manufacturer offers a higher clocked bios out of the box. All the card are probably reference so it shouldn't be a problem. If this is the case it would be really good if certain manufacturers were charging more for cards with higher clocks than others. We can get the cheapest OEM and then just flash.

Has anyone heard if any OEM (non retail boxed) cards will be available or will they all be retail boxed? I know Sapphire had boxless OEM x1900 when they came out but also noticed that Nvidia never sells cards that aren't retail boxes, or am I wrong on this?

What happened to the "8800gtx OCed vs. 2900xt OCed = 8800gtx rapes 2900xt" kind of thread? I clicked on it but i had a no permission warning then the thread got deleted.

Has it something to do with Sampsa saying "people revealling all the details before NDA lift" or was it just old news, ie. DT benchmarks?

That tends to happen when the thread gets moved to a different section. Try doing a search and you'll probably find the thread has been moved.
Look at the tyranny of party--at what is called party allegiance, party loyalty--a snare invented by designing men for selfish purposes--and which turns voters into chattles, slaves, rabbits, and all the while their masters, and they themselves are shouting rubbish about liberty, independence, freedom of opinion, freedom of speech, honestly unconscious of the fantastic contradiction; and forgetting or ignoring that their fathers and the churches shouted the same blasphemies a generation earlier when they were closing their doors against the hunted slave, beating his handful of humane defenders with Bible texts and billies, and pocketing the insults and licking the shoes of his Southern master.
