Anyone see any potential headaches for me in the future w/these settings? I'm trying to go for a relatively "safe" overclock.
So far:
400FSB @ 8 multiplier w/e6600 - 3.2ghz
4gb corsair twin2x2048-6400c4
Settings:
400FSB @ DDR2-800
Auto
33.3 PCI
Spread spectrum disabled
Memory @ 2.1v
CPU @ 1.45v (reports usually around 1.4v in CPUz)
FSB, NB both @ 1.45v
SB @ 1.6v
The sytem is housed in an Antec P182 with pretty good airflow (4 total 120mm fans) and a Tuniq Tower 120. No additional cooling in the setup at all, though (on the NB/SB etc).
I haven't done any extended Orthos checks but after about 25min of it running @ priority 9, TAT reported temps of ~47-48C with spikes up to 50C.
I've tried to lower the voltages a bit but it seems like each time I do, I usually get some instability. Is there a best process for which voltage I should worry about the most, given my setup? I'd love to go higher than 3.2 but stability is a must on this rig; I really don't want to spend all day worrying about reboots, reinstallations (I've had to do my fair share already), etc.
