i think i might try that out with my e4300 thats laying around on my desk.
Make sure to post back with your findings before and after the BSEL mod xtrempinoy.

You are probably correct in that the silver might have failed due to a dirty contact, but the defogger kit seemed more consistent and that is why it was suggested.

So did you actually try the BSEL mod on your e4300 then? Did you get better results?
