It is quite slow and my order still shows as not shipped, I will update when and if they do send these out... I'm normally used to receving stuff the next day so this is frustrating....![]()

@neo786 Well you're right, they're not a terribly communicative bunch!
I awoke to find my paypal payment had been refunded, but no accompanying email from them explaining the situation.
I sent them an email a couple of days ago, just before I placed the order, asking them to confirm it was ok to order from Australia.
There was no clear indication it was a problem, at any step, as I progressed through the order process.
Well I now know I definitely don't want anything to do with them, even if they did ship to Australia.
Companies that don't like communicating are a "pet hate" of mine, & it's often -IME- a sign that they'll be feces.
So back to scouring local retailers properly for me!![]()

Even scythe's distributor for Australia has confirmed there's no stock left in the entire country.
He quoted end of October or middle of November for availability.

Can anyone recommend an excellent alternative to the GT's, surely there's other makes/models which come close?
I will of course buy some AP-14/15's when they're available, but in the meantime I just want some acceptable rad. fans.

I bought from them before but that was years ago and as far as I remember all worked out okay. Now I wonder if they really have the product. The 1450RPM version can be found in many places but I'm also holding off for the 1850RPM version. Usually fans are optimized for the 12v operation, question is if the 1450RPM works as advertised but then again I'm surprised by the chart below. The AP-15 has an advantage of 12 CFM over the AP-14. Look at the static pressure

I do not think there is something worth other than those 2 for a quite operation unless you want some amazing delta fans. Delta fans are worth every penny.

Thanks, I thought i'd seen a chart like that, which is partly why I'm reluctant to consider a drop down to the AP-14.
I don't suppose you've seen any charts comparing the AP-15 to the NF-P12?
By the charts and many videos also I have 2 NF-P12. I would say that the NF-P12 = AP-14. There is a slightly difference between the 2 like NF-12 runs at 1300 RPM and the AP-14 at 1450 RPM.
Charts no but videos show the difference. Did you see this thread http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=259802 ? It shows that the Gentle Typhoon blows 70% more air CFM than the Noctua NF-P12 and doing so at a lower DBA.I don't suppose you've seen any charts comparing the AP-15 to the NF-P12?

I don't remember where I saw eng version of the revew from fcenter.ru
Max airflow in CFM (green) and noise in dBA (blue)
Air flow at 33dBA noise
Note that there is only AP-14 on second chart, I think this is because all typhoons have similar noise/airflow ratio, so AP-14 at 33dBA makes same CFM as AP-15

Just wait for the gt's. I know from experince that going alternatives when you know what's the best, you want that can afford it but don't. Just leads to buyers remorse well at least for me.

You could do something similar to what I do. Place the radiator on the roof of your house, no fans are needed doing this way. The nature will be blowing the cold air into your radiator.
Now the only thing I need is rainwater into my reservoir and that will be my next project. That will be totally clean and done by the nature. So much fun![]()
What the heck...
I'll go with your solution Metroid, I'll rig-it-up to my roof via the down-pipe running close by.
After all; what can go wrong once you've got "the nature" taking care of everything!?
On a more serious note (assuming I haven't scared everyone away yet)...
Do you think this fan will be sufficient on my rad, until such time that I can obtain 2x AP-15's?
Apologies if I'm sounding like a broken record, just really pressed for time of late![]()

You know that's a very good point, I hadn't considered that! *forehead slap*
And it shouldn't be an issue as I'm only running a core i3-530 (may upgrade later; depends), which for the mast part I intend to run at stock or UC.
Time to get some sleep, I think lack of sleep is impairing my brain, thanks again!
