Lian li PC-V350 + Liquid Cooling setup... planning stage

I have a few questions that maybe you can help me figure out before i go forward with a build.

Heres the hardware im thinking about,

    Mushkin Ram DDR2 4GB Kit XP-8500 Ascent
    Sapphire 4850 SVGA (PCI-Exrpess, 1GB)
Lian Li PC-V350B Black (Cube, HTPC Case)
    Asus P5E-VM HDMI (S775, DDR2, G35, VGA)
    Intel Core 2 Duo 8600 (s775/3 ,33) Tray

While this is a good system, i want to bring over my 4 hdds. (first problem occurs here, there is only space for 2 and a third if i use the converter for a 5.25 bay device)

Now the real problem, Id like to watercool it. Cause i love building watercooled pc's.

I was thinking of using 2 - 240 rads (TFC with shrouds), mounted to the top of the case next to each other. Now, i think, without being 100% sure i think they both fit. i would mount the fans under the rads pulling air out of the case through the rads into open air. but im not sure if all 4 holes would have a clear passage way into the case without the cd drives interfering. But it does solve my hdd problem cause i can order some Mountain mods hdd fan brackets to mount my hdds externally. allowing me more working space on the interior for pumps and res.

as for pumps i was thinking a laing d5 with no aftermarket top mounted internally and a koolance res mounted on the rear... (using the 80mm mounting brackets available)

as for blocks i was thinking to use a fusion v2 and a ek4850 block. barbs im thinking 1/2" with 3/8" tygon so there is no need for clips.

now i know u might think this is a very ugly build, i think if done correctly it could look KILLER, and perform the same.

Heres what i came up with in sketchup: (yeah the rads are pa120.2's and the res is some random res i found, also the case is the previous v300 but i think they dont differ too much in size)

    so now for my questions:

    1) do u think the 2 240's would be sufficient to cool the cpu and gfx with a mild overclock in place?
    2) do u think with the selected hardware there would be sufficient clearance within the case for the pump + tubing aswell?
    3) do u think the NB would heat up, and need some sort of block aswell? if so, what blocks fit this motherboard?

Thanks for bearing with me and my endless questions (multiple times),
    Barf

i fell in love with tremoloes build - such a great build :P

1 PA is MORE than enough for a e8600 + 4850, i'm sure that even a mcr220 internally with some medium speed yates (1350) should be enough to cool down your rad

your nb won't be a problem in this case as the 2 120mm fans have perfect air distribution and give enough airflow to all components

    v350 on million dollar pc

move the pump to the lower 5.25" drive bay using the stock ddc-2 top with t-line (requires some modding), you should be able to fit 1 HDD and the pump in the lower one + the 4th hdd in the upper 5.25" bay and go for an external ODD drive

other solution for the HDDS: if you don't want to raid the drives the easiest solution is to get an external esata enclosure which can hold 2 drives

this way you have a more compact case (with a little bit higher temps) but with moderate overclocks (around 4.0-4.4 ghz there shouldn't be a problem (my TRUE with a medium yate can old the temps below 65°C on my cpu with 28°C room temp)

Lol. We can't import that sort of stuff, customs won't allow it. I've got it on pre-order locally, it was supposed to arrive last Thursday but i haven't heard from the shop yet. It was the only store in the whole country to list it...

If it wasn't for the choice of certain components, I'm sure that wouldn't be a half bad computer but, seeing those parts were chosen...... epic fail!

Well, it'll start that age old argument again but OK.

He used an aluminum rad and GPU block with a copper CPU block.

    Cant Import a MB???
So far I have imported at some time or another, every single component of a PC, Bar a HDD for obvious reasons, but shipping is killer!!!

Here's a link to one that I did:

    PC-V350

Here's a link to a long PC-V350 thread over a Hardforums. Some WCed, some not.

Putting the single 120.2 up front is probably going to be your best/only bet unless you want to mount it external. The Swiftech 120.2 barely fits, but does fit. I cannot speak for any other rad though. Becareful on rad choice--make sure it will fit. The swifty had no problems WCing an OCed (4.0) E8400 plus NB. The 350/355 fit nicely up under the 5.25" cage.

Good Luck! and plan well ahead.....lots of room for error in a case that small.

oh my god, i really did it. and i used a corrosion protection. damn, and it works about 9 month without any problems... why made i this mistake....
your right in one thing ... itīs an "age old argument" which isnīt correct anymore if you are able to use the right water addition...

    edit:
and where do you see an aluminum rad???

I'm pretty sure if you read Newegg's (Or i might have been amazon) international shipping page, they don't ship to dome countries due to customs policies. I'll try to find the details sometime

I'll apologize for the rad. Last time I looked, Tt was using that type bottom on theirs. After further research, it looks like yours is a Magicool.

Sorry, but even "proper corrosion protection" is still taking a very unnecessary risk in my (and a lot of other ppl's) book. There are a lot of other, better choices out there for those GFX cards that "look" just as nice if not better.
