BlueAqua's SuperProject: MurderMod TJ-07, MM UFO, V2000

I figured I better start a project log so I can show some my builds and share what I have learned with the community. I encourage questions and feedback from everyone. I've been planning way too much and have enough parts a few systems so I thought I'd have 3 individual water cooled systems of mine all in one thread.

System One: Mountain Mods UFO
System Two: Lian Li V2000, my Aqua Computer rig
System Three: MurderMod TJ07 Build

First up!

Nice build and pics. I like the Koolance fittings as well. Oh...I really like the way you mounted the original video card housing onto the waterblock. I haven't seen that before. Very unique!

Gotta say I like that case too!

Thanks for the fine comments guys. ShoNuff, this case is amazing. A few coats of Zaino Bros car wax makes it absolutely shine.

My old V2000 has been around a while and has been through a few stages. Here are a few pics from 2004.

And another change when I installed my Chilly1 Phase Change into it:

The TJ07 will be done last, as I have some painting and some case preparation to get done first.

he's running a cuplex DI or original. PA + DDC of some sort. :P Man im kinda sad that i can tell what hardware he has just from a brief picture. (i must have no life)

cant tell which cuplex tho cuz i dont have a direct pic of it. Here is the DI.

Nice setup. The super thin tubing kinda raises my brow, but defnitely clean clean setup.

Cuplex DI for sure. Going to use one in my TJ07 build too along with 7/16 ID tubing I think, we'll see. I have a bunch of larger diameter tubing that I was messing with while I was benching but I kinda like the 3/8 ID tubing for some things.

Sorry, long time no update. I've had a few changes in my plans, but first I must complete the UFO build. Yesterday I changed all my tubing as my 2 month old tubing was clouding up. So I cleaned the system thoroughly, shook the hell out of the Thermochills and installed everything back in. I decided to remove the PA 120.2 and just use a single PA 120.3. I used the same tubing this time (Tygon 3/8"ID 3603) and some Feser UV Blue "coolant."

One reason I wanted to not use the PA 120.2 was to install my raid 5 into this machine instead of having a server build. I'm waiting on some more thumbscrews and I need to fix up the wire mess on the off side of the case. I'll probably sleeve the raid cables too while I'm at it.

I'll make some changes to the system configurations in the original post too as they have been altered.

Here are a bunch of pictures of it now:

The 2nd system will consist of the following:

Lian Li V2000 custom painted by Smooth Creations
Asus Commando
Intel E8500
OCZ Reaper PC-9200 2x1gb
Nvidia 9800GTX
2 Seagate 400gb in Raid 0
Corsair HX620

Water cooling:

XSPC 9800GTX copper block
Swiftech MCP-655b
Thermochill PA 120.2
Swiftech Microres probably
Maybe some other stuff, we'll see.

And the 3rd System will be the final one done here. I want to make this one perfect.

Silverstone TJ07 Black
Asus Maximus II Formula
Intel E8500
Corsair PC-8500 2x2gb Dominator
Palit 9800GX2
Western Digital 640gb

Water Cooling:
Swiftech GTZ
Swiftech's new chipset block (whenever that gets released)
Swiftech MCP-655
Feser 120.3 radiator with 3 S-flex fans
Ek Res250 Multi Option Res. including Anti Cyclone
and maybe some 9800gx2 waterblock, not sure yet.

There will definitely be more to come, and I'll try to update more often.

I was just having some thoughts for System #2 and just thought I'd post some pics of what I am trying to do.

I replaced the old laser etched window for a new clear cast acrylic window. I also am going to use this EK res and am going to recess it below the window just so you can see the clear part. I think that may look pretty cool.

I've been messing with acrylic, but it's kind of kicking my ass, keeps cracking. I'm going to cut holes for the tubing/wiring runs. The aluminum underneath doesn't look so good, so going to cover that up with something else that looks appealing. I also have a piece of brushed aluminum from another V2000 that I could cut and even paint. Still thinking which to do. I think the aluminum would be easier to work with to achieve the best results. The acrylic in these pictures are covered with their protective coating, but it's a very shiny black.

And my XSPC 9800GTX block:

Very nice and clean, but yeah, those SATA cables need some attention...the Asus red clashes a bit.

edit: now I know where I can get some acrylic work done locally.

I far from an expert with acrylic. It's a pain in the ass to bend with a heatgun and it catches drill bits and tough to cut. I think I'll use the aluminum on the bottom because it has a lot of holes but acrylic on the back and side.

Every good worklog needs a sidekick, too bad she's not very helpful.

Nice build BlueAqua! I notice you've rotated your Cupex di, did you note any difference in temps? Any thoughts about having it stepped? Can't wait to see your next project...
