There will be a number of variants of each board, the P35-DQ6 will come in there flavours, one supports DDR2 memory while the other supports DDR3...a third board will support both DDR2 and DDR3 on a single board.

Each variant will be labeled.

I preordered the P35-DQ6...same price as the 965P-DQ6, due date is May but no exact date as yet. I'll keep the thread updated if i see boards starting to sell.

I've already seen three PCB designs for the P35-DQ6, Gigabyte seem to be revising the heatsinks on the back of the PCB, the so called "crazycool".

We're all waiting for benchmarks to determine that. It terms of board changes...the audio codec has been updated to the brand new Realtek ALC889A which has a 106dB S/N ratio and supports DTS connect, the onboard LAN chip has been changed to a Realtek RTL8111B, apparently the Jmicron controller has been updated to the JMB373 but not 100% sure as yet.

Other revisions include tweaks to the PCB.

P35C-DS3R, as you can see it has six DIMM slots. Supports both DDR2 and DDR3 memory, from the image it seems it supports 4GB of DDR2 memory and 2GB of DDR3 memory. 4 slots for DDR2 and 2 slots for DDR3:
