is it really a "Quad" record, when only 1 core is active??

its a nice OC, but not what I would call a "Quad Core" record.

The max frequency with 4 cores is at 5229 Mhz.

Here is a validation with w cores: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=166767

I have to search more photos...with 4 cores. I will check tomorrow.

For only 1 core enabled, that is the fastest frequency so far. But for all four enabled, kaz-n has done 5250MHz Pi stable.

    Still great clocks though.

thats only 2 threads. not quad.
one core, of each core active...

Well, it is a great score anyway!

P.S. The 'issue' with dissabled cores also appears on dual-cores hwbot toplist. For me a CPU with dissabled cores is another CPU than it originally was.

And what about modded motherboards? modded graphic cards? modded cooling solutions? modded bios'? tweaks for Spi? tweaks for 3D benchies? ... etc, etc...

The aim is obsiously to clock up to the max; not to fail 200MHz under because of too much processes running, bad cores enable, etc... highest possible clock is to CPU-Z as fastest possible time is to Spi. Obvious analogy.

BTW I can understand the desire of drawing rankings for QX CPUs pure 4 core maximun as well as C2D or C2E pure 2 core max... but if running 4 cores or 2 cores at the same time result in worst max possible, then 1 core performance is the best... tautological...

Why achieving slower Spi's because of Windows Classic theme while the Luna one is faster?

    Congrats for the QX6700 WR!

great cpu, and great result, and we are in front of Klngpln also with the 4 active Cores, but I do not know if we have screen of it we lose several to those frequencies unfortunately not always records, however we will to repeat the tests with the four ignited Cores ...... was 5229, the photos we have task to them.

for a young team as ours it is a fantastic and sure to improve result... thx a lot

we hope to please to you

Well done and congrats to the WR. QX6700 CPU used - QX6700 WR. No question for me. Everbody is complaining about aircooled and watercooled WRs - so dont start this discussion please accroding to the numbers of cores enabled. Other overclockers with big names did this before...

No question - Italy brings big scores this days...
