Wow thats half the price than it will cost in Europe.
    Thats not fair :/
That thing would make a nice cruncher for the price if you can install Linux on it.

    Very nice pictures.

It's a Seagate Momentus 5400.2, a notebook HDD. (2,5 inch) So 200GB is the max currently I think.

even the 8800GTS is only 50fps in the NFS carbon @ 1280x1024 with 4AA

    the RSX with 256MB 128Bit GDDR3 @ 500/1300 wont be able to run on 1920x1080 with 60fps

just look at the non-car textures, everything that doesn´t belong to a car looks like crap, xbox 360 version looks better and also plays 1080p (with hd-dvd drive )

191W is total power consumption. Not all of it will go into heat

I might jump ship from x360 as I don't agree with the direction MS is going. The PS3 seems very simplistic and doesn't offer a lot of bloat. Let me explain:
-The use of HD content like watching CSI (from the trailer) was not in HD. My OTA is 10x better then what they showed in that trailer. And, I am not going to pay for movies and TV shows that I can either rent or watch for free. Also, I am not interested in downloading that type of content.

-The xboxlive service is taking a turn for the worst. Not only do I have to pay yearly subscription fee but now I have to pay for basic content like a 10+ year Contra and Mortal Combat that you can play for free via internet. Also I am see less free demos in place of video feeds of the game. If this is the direction of MS then why am I paying a subscription fee?

With that said, even though PS3 doesn't offer these features it still doesn't cost me to have them and to me the later is more important then the former.

This way the RAM will not be cooled, but heated up by the heat that the RSX chip dissipates.

You are almost saying that you HAVE to pay, which is not the case. I do agree though that it would be nice if had to pay for fewer things, you can have Sony's 'live' variant for nothing.

Were will it go then? 191W is practically all heat.

I think the HS design looks like crap. And ofcourse the RSX is a joke compared to the R500. I hope the Cell CPU can somewhat make up for that difference, but I doubt it.

I can't really see what people are complaining about.. Those screens look at least as good as the ones coming from X360... Now, how many here actually know how graphics are made on a console?? I know I don't... Stop focusing on the graphics chip, and focus on the screens it produces... IMHO, the Gundam screens (the Transformers look-a-likes for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about), as well as Ridge Racer look awesome... Also, I've seen a PS3 running games (A gamer's mag here in Denmark got their hands on one), and it looks at least as good as a X360... Stop saying the XboX will be better, they're on par...

I agree, the screens look pretty good BUT they look blurred and polished up too. From the Gears of War screen I know it's artist material and not a real render, because it's the same image I saw a long time ago for the Xbox360. The transformer game looks way too polished and most other images seem to have a certain filter used to clean things up.
