hi guys
looks like ATi will have 3 new X2900 cards
-X2900XTX 1GB GDDR4
-X2900XT 512MB GDDR3
-X2900XL 512Mb GDDR3
HD 2900 thermal numbers out, 225W
Three kings including the XL
ATI will introduce three Radeon HD 2900 cards on the 14th of May. According to a document we've seen the most powerful one is called the Radeon HD 2900 XT 1024MB DDR4. Its TDP, thermal design power of the GPU, is an astonishing 180 Watts, while the whole board dissipates 225 Watts.
The second card is the Radeon HD 2900 XT 512 MB GDDR3 and its GPU's TDP is 160W due to slightly lower clock speed and the whole board again dissipates 225 Watts.
The third and final card is the Radeon HD 2900 XL, a cheaper version of the marchitecture with 512 MB GDDR3 and its GPU will dissipate 130 Watts, while the board will dissipate 205 Watts. We believe that the power components on the card gets really hot, 82 degrees C on the outside of the cooler is what we've already seen.

and 4 X2600 models
- X2600XT 512mb GDDR4
- X2600XT 512mb GDDR3
- X2600XT 256mb GDDR3
- X2600 Pro 256mb GDDR3
Ati to launch nine Rx6x0 cards on the 14th
Seven of them are 65 nanometre
ATI will launch nine Radeon HD 2000 series cards on the 14th of May, at 15.00 Central European time or 9 AM Eastern time. It will start talking about nine cards where seven of them are 65 nanometre.
The one we talked a lot about is called Radeon HD 2900XT with 512MB GDDR3 is powered with R600 and done in 80 nanometre. This is the fastest card to hit the retail and etail.
The second in line is Radeon HD 2900XL card again with 512 MB GDDR3, R600 chip and 80 nanometre core. The rest of the cards are 65 nanometre and HD 2600 or HD 2400 based.
The fastest mainstream card is the Radeon HD 2600 XT with 512MB of GDDR4 memory. It is based on RV630, 65 nanometre chip.
The second in line is is Radeon HD 2600 XT with 512MB of GDDR3 memory and it will be slightly faster then the GDDR4 card. It is also based on RV630, 65 nanometre chip.
The third RV630 card is Radeon HD 2600 XT with 256MB of GDDR3 memory. This card is also based on RV630, 65 nanometre chip.
The last RV630, 65 nanometre based card is Radeon HD 2600 PRO with 256MB of GDDR3 memory. We still don't know the exact clock speeds but we believe that DAAMIT still has to make its mind up.
In the entry level ATI plans to launch three HD 2400 based card.
The top one is Radeon HD 2400 XT with 256MB of DDR2 memory. This card is based on RV610, 65 nanometre core. The second one is Radeon HD 2400 Pro again with 256MB of DDR2 memory and based on RV610, 65 nanometre core.
The last but not the least one is Radeon HD 2400 PRO with 128MB of DDR2 memory. This card is also based on RV610, 65 nanometre core.
So now you know.

RV670 is HD 2900PRO
65 nanometre 256 bit chip
ATI has a few new 65 nanometre cards planned for Q3 2007. One of the most interesting one is the RV670 a 65 nanometre mainstream core with 256 bit memory interface. This card is scheduled to replace the RV570 or Radeon X1950 PRO cards.
ATI will brand this one as Radeon HD 2900 PRO and the card is based on RV670 core done in 65 nanometre. The card comes with 512 MB of memory and DAAMIT doesn't plan to introduce this card on the 14th it will wait till the card is ready.
We heard that it might be some showcase of the beta cards at Computex. So if Nvidia launches a 256 bit version of G84 ATI will have something to fight it with.

More HD 2900XT Cards Spotted and Priced
The blokes from TechOne | HDTV got hold of a picture of an HD 2900XT card from Sapphire. The interesting part of this board is the cooling unit, which is obviously different from the reference design we have seen earlier. It features three heatpipes and the blades of the radial blower are bigger than on the reference design which usually should lead to a lower overall noise.
Meanwhile some German shops began listing ASUS and Sapphire HD 2900XT cards but the shops took the offers down for some unknown reasons. Though I missed to make a screenshot when I first came across the online shop grafikkartenpower.de which still has a 2900XT category, I remember the price which was 365.90 Euro. Furthermore the European pricegrabbing machine Geizhals.at still has the speeds of GPU and memory online, 757MHz respectively 828MHz (1656MHz effectively). At the moment this information is still to be taken with a grain of salt though until the world wide NDA is lifted on May 14th.
