Actually my ddr3 board doesnt like the same references or skews as the ddr2 board. For 500x9 the ddr3 board wants 800/900/0/0 and .815cpu 0.760mch references while the ddr2 board wants 800/900/0/50 and .800cpu 0.800mch (0.760mch if using the cellshocks).

Intresting reply andre my system became stable when i used 1.32 vtt and 0.726 mch ref in bios , if i change the mch ref alone it becomes unstable to the point that it fails on the 3rd test on linx.
I am wondering if this vtt is safe , and what is the safe limit for my cpu.

My goal its 500 rock stable and maybe 512 for some benching can some one pinpoint the values of mch and cpu ref , vtt for the cpu and any important subtimings?
    Iam talking about ud3p ddr2 1200 ;

Those references dont apply for duals, and just so you know the 1.32vtt doesnt work its really just 1.30.

also pay att on skews...800/800/0/50 or 900/900/0/50 liked by all my quads

success!!! I did exactly what andressergio said set vtt at 1,2 and set CPU REF at .785 and MCH REF at .80 then up vtt to ya current value...that will do the job
I wasnt setting vtt first at 1.2 then cpu ref and then mch ref and then after that I wsnt going back to change vtt back to 1.32, cause after setting it back to 1.32 it changed the two ref voltages on its own, does that make sense on what iam trying to explain, I also set it too 800-800-0-5. well after all this it passed 8 passes of IBT but my temps went to 73, is that getting abit high? It prolly wont gewt that high from everyday use as from what you guys say ibt stresses it out alot, If you have any other tips or settings for me to try please post, Hopefully no more blue screens etc. Iam happy it at least passes ibt!! cause before it was not go at 445fsb also I set my static tread value to 7 as thats what it shows it should be at with the xmp profile 1....

glad that worked for ya mate

use blend custom 8k to 8k to be sure u got good MCH/vdimm etc...if it passes go for full normal blend let it there fore some hours...dont use IBT or Linx why give CPU such a hell...lot of us passed IBT and Lx and failed Blend...

Help me! GA-EP45-UD3R Integrated Peripherals bios setting for Windowa XP & AHCI mode

    Hello

    Excuse my english

I have a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R and three sata HD connected to yellow sata connector 0, 1, 2.

Two ssata Optical Drives (Pioneer 215 & Optiarc 7240) connected to yellow sata connectors 4 & 5.

When i attempt install Windows XP in AHCI mode before to start from WXP CD the screen shows MBR failure and then something about floppy (I have floppy drive installed) but nothing abaut optical drive.

It seems the donīt see the optical drive.

If i install WXP in ide mode no problem but iīm interestin in AHCI because i have a rack and i need Hot swap.

Help me to setting Integrated Peripherals bios setting and/or to se where is the problem.

    Thanks

I'm quite sure XP doesn't support AHCI drivers, but I'd wait for someone else to confirm that for you. I couldn't get AHCI to work properly even in W7 64 - always gave me BSODs. It's a shame really because my optical drives ran a lot faster in AHCI then IDE. Anyone else have a solution?

Got my EP45-Extreme yesterday - nice load of copper all over it, and some nice little features like NB temp! It is missing 2 sata ports compared to the UD3P and the bios doen't offer to save profiles to HDD unless you use the very latest F9d. The only huge pain is the fact the board vdroops by a huge 0.1v, so I'm heading into town shortly to get bits for a vmod.

XP Supports AHCI just fine. You have to download the Intel Matrix floppy driver from Intel's site and load it during setup when the message "Press F6 if you need to install a third party SCSI or RAID driver" appears. I've had AHCI working fine in XP, Vista and Windows 7, and both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of each.

If you havent tried it yet for w7/vista go into the registry and under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/CurrentControlSet/services/msahci you should see a "Start" option, change it to 0.
