Flushing with tap water isn't going to hurt the radiator ... always a good idea to follow with a thorough rinse with distilled water (Any bits and pieces that come out in the initial flushes would potentially "un-distill" your water anyway, so you're not really going to hurt anything.

Yes, that's what I did as well. It's impossible to cause damage with just 30 mins of rinsing with tap water. As long as the final rinse before installation is done with distilled water (preferably boiled to give more oomph to clean everything).

Tap water can cause damage only if it is in the loop for a few weeks due to mineral deposits and risk of corrosion. It is also more conductive than distilled water.

Here is the story on my RAD experiences. I bought a used HE 120.3 from SuporTim0r and he had never used it, but Gocchin the previous owner had. I thought it was clean as it had been used under extreme benching, so I tossed it my system with new tubing and MC-Res Micro. I got major tube staining and my MC-Res Micro looked like I had been pumping Eggnog.

I then did research and found at that time people were saying to use vinegar and water soaks to get it clean. So I gave it a overnight with half and half of distilled to vinegar and then flushed out with tap water then a final rinse with distilled. Put it back in my loop and used new tubing and my old MC-Res Micro (which I tried to clean as best as I could).

Tubing goes to crap again . So I then took the rad and used the hottest boiling tap water I could get in the rad and shook the crap out of it at least ten times and TONS of goop came out. The water came out milky for about the first 6 rinses, then slowly got to the point it was clearer with each time I flushed with hot water.

Then I got my PA120.2 brand new and went straight for the hot water rinse and my tubing and MC-Res Micro on my GPU only loop and has been fine ever since. No stained tubing at all, and I use the cheap cheap Masterkleer 7/16.

I will use tap water anytime as you have to use so much to get clean then rinse with distilled.

Yo P! Nice job...I'm impressed with your work...nice job son!

I've been thinking about adding a little bit more "Hmmmph" to my cooling and think I am going to steal your idea and add a PA120.2 in the same place you added yours.

I was thinking about switching systems to a Intel Q6600 instead of my Amd x2 5200+. So I was reading trought alot of tests of boards and I found that this: http://www.inno3d.com/products/motherboard/nf680i.html
Dosen't it look ALOT like your board? I mean, pretty much exactly? THEN, I also found this (Swedish Online store): http://www.komplett.se/k/ki.aspx?sku=333219
    ALSO the exact same board.
I really would like the Inno board since I read its a really good clockers, good at this and good at that. But since I know all the problems you had with yours Im getting second thoughts about it!
    Loonym...You are missed.

I, I disbelieve separation. I close my eyes
    there's no escaping me
This is for you, everything I am. This is for you, take it from me.
In your heart in your soul. I perceive rejuvenation

Breathe me in. I am forever. Deep within I am eternal.

I will return to you. I am with you always. I will never turn away from you.

    DA BIG UPDATE! December 10-07

*Firstly, excuse the delay guys! Things have changed quite a lot since i decided to start that build.*

Hey my friends! Guess what? The computer is completed and the RIG is running hard!

I'll let the pics speak for them self!

You guys remember i had tried the QX6800ES On my P5B Deluxe because it would act really freaking weird on my EVGA 680I A1? I was getting high 70c degrees for 3.4Ghz with my Tuniq on my P5B Deluxe? And then i posted a few results of that CPU running under H2O on my EVGA 680I A1? The shots close to 4Ghz and 19k in 3DMark06?

These shots. Well this is what the RIG looked like when it was running those results. I didn't had much more time to test the RIG at that time so i didn't worked in 4Ghz stable. But i will now

Well, since i had received my MCW30 from NCIX.com (Along with Crysis ) I decided i should tear the system apart and rebuild the CPU\NB loop to include the SB as well. And while I'm at it, why not loop the GPUs?

Tearing the system apart and cleaning the parts.

Once all parts were cleaned and the mobo too, i started hooking the block. Starting with the SB since i wasn't sure of how i would of mounted it since one of the thumbnut would come right in the GPU1 way... so i had to use smaller screws with a nut instead of the original mounting set-up.

Then i hooked all other blocks...

Pretty tight but it fits! I had to hook a small piece of electrical tape on the card just in case the screw would come in contact with the card. I really don't want to short another 8800GTX to death.

I decided i would loop the CPU loop first, boot with my good ol' 7800GTX, see if all is fine and then i would loop the GPU loop.

    CPU\NB\SB looped!

    Filling and bleeding.

Now, once i was done, i powered the computer, tweaked this and that and finally, after 30 mins, i had the comp running with that new CPU\NB\SB loop but only with my 7800GTX. So i went ahead and started hooking the 8800GTXs with their EK FC Blocks and looping it all!

    Here is the result...

Here you can see my Becnh table with my P5B Deluxe, Q6600 G0, 7800GTX etc... Which will be used as my Crunching Rig

I hope you guys enjoyed the HUGE worklog! Lots of work, Money and time involved into it! But it's finally completed!

Thanks for all the support\comments\suggestions etc... Guys! What a blast this build was!

I might post some more Overclocking results laster in the week! So far, 3.95Ghz\ 4GB @ 1000Mhz and 2x8800GTX 626Mhz\2000Mhz are probably my 24\7 clocks! That's 19k in 3DMark06!

Thanks again Guys and enjoy the pics!

great work, of course, but please tell me, how do you fill and bleed your loop, I mean do you tilt the case and stuff, and how long does it take you on average to completely bleed for example a cpu+nb loop? thnx

D-Tek Clear Blue Dye for CPU\NB\SB loop and D-Tek Alien Green Dye for GPU loop. A bit more than 1L of distilled water, 5-6 drops of PT_Nuke, a bit of Zerex and half of a bottle of the D-Tek Dyes.

Temps are excellent man! 37/37/31/35 ATM IDLE with 1.42v 3.8Ghz. And thats with a rather hot ambient since the GF is sick tonight. She just puked

The CPU\NB\SB loop took 3 hours to fully bleed! After 3 hours, the whole loop was bubble free! That was insane! I filled and a few hours later i was running the comp... Really, i didn't felt i needed to wait for a 24 hours leak free test. I really mastered the non-leaking watercooling loop builds The answer is Worm Drive Clamps!

As for the GPU loop, it was a total different story... It needed close to 2-3 days to fully bleed! This freaking Ek-Res 150 Rev.2 makes it a total pain in the @ss to bleed a set-up... Really, i hate that Res. Next time, I'll buy another one. I'm getting tired of those long-lasting bubbles.. Even with the T-Line trick on top of the res, it's still a pain to bleed. It took days before i would not see that freaking bubble line going out of the GPU2 block into the res. I would see a line of bubbles acting as a tornado all the time! I even think that when i took those pics posted above, it would still have that bubble line in the tubing when it goes out of GPU2 into Res... Anyway, it's completely gone now. One other thing i do to make sure there is no bubble stuck int he rad is i move the case around. I lean it, shake it and even drop it (Gently tho...).

Question: What res is that? It could be really helpful for the current H2G0 build... Thanks!

I told youthat Humpty Dumpty BBQ potato chips would help reduce the temps

I see that you did the right thing and cleaned all your blocks in the washing machine. Did you use distilled water in the washing machine and dry the radiator in the dryer?

    Great job with the rebuild
