AFAIK you can run any 8 pin power card with a 6 pin, just limited overclocking. Those two extra pins are only ground wires, so it isn't like they actually provide power, and many power supplies just tie those two back into the 6 pin wires anyway. My 7950 has 8 and 6, but my PSU only has two 6 pin and I'm still overclocked (just maybe not as far as I could with the last 2 pins).
