Imho we will see more performance gains over stock for DDC pumps with 90deg on stock top's inlet. No drama for D5 with not that bad stock one.
BTW, Stren: how about commenting on if not measuring about your impressions if noise felt/sounded louder or quieter, how easy it was to mount in case, how easy it was to fill/deaerate loop relative to others?
