Kessian you really sure your BIOS is set on RAID ( i know its a stoopid question ) but never ever happened this to me and i use RAID0 for SSD and RAID0 for data...

once RAID is set on BIOS you MUST see the CTRL + I option on the POST unless something is really borked

try to disable all fast boot options to see what happens on POST

    im lost tough...

Till now I see wacky voltages of 1.3 VCSSA and co popping up...

    I assume he has the 8Gb kit with 2 x 4GB dimms ( can't find a 4 x 2GB version ) 11-11-11-31 2T set 1.65Vdimm

    1) Pull out the CPU, reinsert and remount the cooler ( do not overtighten) then do a CMOS RESET. So the board will boot 100% with default values.
    2) Then like Dumo suggested man boot with maybe one dimm first and load the XMP profile instead of maybe the wrong RAM preset.
    3) If that boots fine at 2133, insert 2nd dimm. Verify the tRSSR and tWWSR values, maybe force them to 5 for added stability.

PLZ don't feed your CPU with 1.3VCSSA that's insane. Leave them options on auto ( so the XMP profile with set them accordingly ) Also I see no need if this is not for LN2 benching, why you would put Extreme Overvoltage to enabled...
    jeeze 1,3 VCCSA

i go with you and Dumo that he try first with a pair of stick or one alone to test...

Yes it has been set as raid. I have set the post to only proceed when i press a key. All fast boot has been disabled. No matter if i plug my old OS SSD in, my empty ssd or boot from disk, there is no menu for raid, it goes straight from POST to either boot.

I'm running out of options, i don't know why this is happening.

I have noticed that my motherboard is stuck on code AO. Is this the problem?

Also, loading up cpu-z on my corsair ssd, alot of details dont show up from the mobo, cpu etc.

no but you may want to test another RAM mate, does 55 appear with only 1 stick ? u tried on RED or BLACK ? also u tried all your sticks ? one by one

i bought 2 kits form the egg some time ago and 1 was giving 55 mean dead mem, the others run fine

I agree, but pictures are not always conclusive. To the op I suggest finding a good magnifying glass and inspect very carefully and methodically, as besides bent or misaligned pins
it could be a case of a hair or other debris in the socket shorting out pins. Use a good source of light as well - powerfull torch or whatever - a right PITA to do I know but at least it would
defo eliminate these possibilities. I had a hair in a memory socket and cpu socket before and it caused mayhem. Not saying that this is the problem but worth checking.
Might be worth checking ram slots with same method to be sure.
    Hope this helps

Got a strange problem with this motherboard.

I bought an I5 3570K cpu and a Maximus V Formula motherboard, but the turbo mode is not working, it wont go over x34 ?!?
Whether I'm loading optimal setting, pre-overclock setting or set a multi manually (for example 40) it will always show 3400mhz in cpu-z when running prime or intelburntest.
It will downclock in windows like its supposed to do fine, just not over the stock multi of 34.
I updated the bios to 804 but tried all the others to, same problem with all of them.
Its kinda funny cause I could set any multi and at POST it will say 3400mhz (target ****mhz) but ofc in windows its nog going over 3400mhz.
And yes its a K type cpu, says so on the order, intel box and cpu IHS before you ask.

This makes me believe my cpu is defective and I should RMA it.

    Any thoughts ?

Is the same problem evident with earlier bios? I say this because I had trouble with this same issue - different board.Turns out the bios was screwed. Try reverting to an earlier bios, but yes the cpu could also be faulty.
Can you check cpu in a known good board???

Fair comment but the photo would have to be pretty high res to zoom in and see a hair - besides I see no harm in a manual check as suggested even tho a PITA.
Even then if there is a hair there you will still need magnifying glass to remove it.
