There are new official Intel RST drivers v11.6.0.1030 WHQL dated 09/02/2012 available. Link: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...?DwnldID=21852
Supported: all Intel chipsets from ICH9M up - inclusive X79!!!!
Installed F6 drivers ok on RIVE (X79), but Intel Raid console installation gives an error saying "System does not have minimum requirements for installing the software".

And in the Device manager the C600 Series Chipset SATA Raid Controller still is show as the only compatible controller.

i suppose Intel has to review the package for X79.
