LOL, ADATA hasn't released 5.0.3 or 5.0.4 to the public or to any of the reviewers in private. They are still working on the validation, I just spoke with someone from ADATA last week about the new FW and they are not ready to release it yet.

Thanks! I'm going to try them! BTW if you want the worlds fastest SATA III drive its available right here: http://www.mydigitaldiscount.com/myd...sandforce-ssd/ its SLC only $275 and eats incompressible data for lunch. Look: http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/479...ew/index1.html I just ordered 2 myself so records will fall

Installed F6 drivers ok on RIVE (X79), but Intel Raid console installation gives an error saying "System does not have minimum requirements for installing the software".

And in the Device manager the C600 Series Chipset SATA Raid Controller still is show as the only compatible controller.

i suppose Intel has to review the package for X79.

I just have checked the content of the INF files for these new RST drivers v11.6.0.1030.
Intel obviously has forgotten to add the HardwareIDs for X79 chipsets into the iaStorAC.inf file.
    Interesting detail:
The drivers themselves (= SYS files) and the INF file iaStorAC.inf (= information file for RAID systems) have be finally compiled by Intel at 09/02/2012, whereas the INF file for RAID systems named iaStorAHCIC.inf have been modified by Intel at 09/07/2012.
I suspect, that Intel has added the X79 support after having compiled the drivers, but forgot to add the needed HardwareID for the "Intel(R) C600 Series Chipset SATA RAID Controller" into the related information file for RAID systems.
I suppose Intel has to review the package for X79.
    I agree with you.
Until the review of the official package RAID users with an X79 chipset mainboard may use a "modded" driverpack, which contains the missing HardwareIDs. I will present such package very soon within the start post of >this< thread.

Same here, had to use the f6 in device manager, installer will not work on my x79. It is another E driver, fastest one yet for me but still not there when put up against 11.2 or 11.1.7.

It's not necessary to read the complete German text.
Just look for the link to the "RSTe-Komplettpaket v11.6.0.1030 mit den "gemoddeten" 32/64bit Intel RSTe-Treibern v11.6.0.1030" and download the package.
After having unzipped the package just run the installer - that's all!
By the way: The included RST-GUI is multilingual and will be automaticly in English for you.

Thanks Fernando, it worked perfectly, the installer installed 2 controllers: one Intel Rapid, the other one Intel Rapid e. This second has full control of the raid volume i have.

BTW, were is the damn button for thanking? lol

That is because ADATA hasn't released the code yet for them. Every drive product group has a signature key, you can see it in the flash software. If you new FW doesn't match the key then you can't flash and that is why you get the red X. I don't know why ADATA is taking their sweet time about an issue they've known about for six months. Not only that, they released new drives to the market knowing about the issue. They they sent drives to reviewers they knew weren't going to talk about the problem. Personally, I wouldn't buy anything from them after that. The whole thing is shady.

Intel says that this is the "first RST release to contain support for X79 platforms", and as 11.6 drivers and OROM support Raid TRIM on Z77 plataforms, is it too much to hope for Raid TRIM on X79?

Unfortunately i dont have skill to mod the archaic bios OROM the bios has: 3.0.0.1184

The RAID OROM v11.6.0.1702 is not yet available. We have to wait until Intel will present a new BIOS for their Z77 and X79 boards.

According to this post over at Anand's Forums this driver works with X79. I'm not sure where he found the info, I'm just passing it along.

EDIT: I see now that you have already found this info.

According to the HardwareIDs entries of the INF files the original RST drivers v11.6.0.1030 will support X79 chipset systems only in AHCI mode. Intel forgot to add the HardwareID of the "Intel(R) C600 Series Chipset SATA RAID Controller" into the iaStorAC.inf file.
