    Can it be something alont the lines of ATX 12V V2 or 2.2 and Intel ATX 12V V2.3 & SSI EPS 12V V2.92
    causing this?
    I am not willing to spend addinitonal 200$ or something similar for a new PSU without defenitiv proof of the PSU been faulty.

    Do you know the exact spec for P8Z77 WS in terms of its ATX specification ?

    Raja i believe was watching a Youtube vod with you the other say, and i now have great respect for your skills.

    HI

    I buy yesterday ASUS P8Z77-V Deluxe + Intel I5 3570K

    I am a portuguese noob bastard, and I need help to make the overclock..

    why nobady share specks in bios? with values to people see and get a "reference"

    what I need to chage in bios?

    I have this:

    BLK = 100
    Ratio CPU = 40

    Vcore = 1.10
    PLL = 1.80
    SA = auto
    DRAM = 1.50 (1866mhz 9 10 9 9 27 2TB)

    Turbo = disable (what is turbo?)
    Load line = auto (what I put here?)

    C1E C2 c3 (I have enabled, is good?)

    why I make overclock and on boot I see 3400mhz and on windows I have 4000mhz ?

    please share speaks from the bios and say to me what I need to change

    thanks!

    I don't know the pull up timing for the rails, so the best thing you can do is to debug it by borrowing a PSU if possible. Other than that, maybe try removing the board from the case and see if it will POST. The only other time I have seen something liek this is when someone is using one of those weird Cooler Master cases with the touch power on button linked to ATX cable. Those things are a nightmare.

    I will go as far as to say this
    BLK = 100
    Ratio CPU = 40 thus the reason you get 4000Mhz. The motherboard is set to auto adjust the cpu values. More of the CPU ratio will give higher clock.
    100*45 = 45000Mhz or 4.5Ghz
    The other options you better set to auto.
    In fact leave everything to Auto. if not 4.0Ghz is not enough how many more do you want?

    I would also suggest to read the 1st page of this thread about the 2 guides in order to get a better understanding.

    But I have 1 problem, my overclock is OK and stable, but if I shutdown my computer.. when I turn on again, pc not boot.

    But if I press button "BIOS" (behind USB ports) I see a blue ligth and If I turn on again my pc, pc boot normaly and overclock works fine..

    On motherborad I have error code A2

    I just received a Maximus V Extreme and i7-3770k today. I've had problems with other Z77 board using the Areca 1882 series so I purchased the top of the line hoping it would work properly. I updated the bios of the motherboard and raid card to the most current version and still the Areca will only initialize properly (somewhat properly - it shows up as 8x/8G instead of 8x/5G ) when placed in the Black PCI-E slot. In any of the Red slots I get initialization errors which prompts me to click any key to continue but the USB is having trouble recognizing my devices with the raid card installed. The same card works perfectly in the P9X79 Deluxe and Maximus 4 Extreme, regardless of which PCI-E slot it's installed in. Is there a beta bios available that I can try?

    Have you tried Areca in 1st red slot and VGA in 2nd red slot ?

    Latest beta bios is 0095 : http://kingpincooling.com/forum/show...t=1828&page=15

    My 1882-12 works perfectly. The only difference between the 2 cards is the main processor in the -12 is identified as 800MHz PPC440 and in the -24 it is 800MHz PPC440 RevD1. Both of them work in my other 2 boards.

    Can we make a request to put intel rapid storage raid bios and drive checking at the end of all bios activities please? The way it is now with my p8z77-v pro thunderboard goes like this:

    I turn in on, wait for post beep, then wait for monitor to turn on. This is connected to integrated gpu.
    By the time this monitor #1 shows the last screen for a couple secs before booting into the boot chain. Ive tried going from 4 to 8 sec on wait delay, but that didnt help, and its frustrating because i want to see status of raid in dos.

    If i use discrete gpu/monitor, this is where i will see it or a half sec before disappearing. So frustrating!

    P8Z77V-Pro + Samsung green ULV

    Hi peeps just got my mobo currently testing with i7 2600K and 4 x 4GB Sammy green. This pro model has no VTT settings so im guessing you have to increase VCCSA. Has anyone got this combo 2600K + sammy green 16GB or i7 3770K + sammy green. IVB supposed to be betta wid high freq modules, what kinda speeds could one expect from the above combos?

    So far everything runnin nice wid i7 2600K @ 4.8GHz only issue ive had so far is sometimes when i switch on PC it turns off once then on again and boots fine. poss bios issue? where are all the beta bioses?

    Sabretooth Z77 WOES...

    Tested this motherboard (1504 bios) for a review with i7 3770K and 8GB 2666C11 rams... All was fine, till I popped in the 2600K. The Sabretooth is very stubborn to boot up. Usually hangs at the RAM LED. If I'm in windows and running the test suite, it sometimes weirdly locks up, looses video signal,...

    Workaround at the moment for the boot issue :
    Boot with 1 dimm set all the timings and voltages. Shut down, insert the 2nd DIMM then the rig posts fine. Till I shut down then the PC hangs again at the DRAM LED.

    If I pop the i7-3770K back in, all is fine and the board even boots with 2800C11-14-14-31 8GB... With the Sandy I lower the ram speeds to 2133C9-11-10-27 2T and the boot behaviour is erradic again.
    Then tried the 2600K and the G.Skill RAM kit on a G1 Sniper M3 and Gene V combo and all works perfectly fine there. If I use 2x 2GB PSC rams then everything works like a charm...
    Messed with RAM timings, voltages, I just can't get it to boot 100% all the time. If it boots into windows, it has a hard time to remain stable with the i7-2600K CPU... RAM are verified witrh HCI Memtest, 200% stable

    Is there an issue with SB, High Volume RAM kits and Sabretooth Z77 ? Any other user or super ASUS tech support guys plz chime in...

    Hardware used:
    Sabretooth Z77 ( 1504 bios )
    Intel i7-2600K@4.5Ghz
    G.Skill TridentX 2666C11 2 x 4GB (tested at 2133C9-11-10-27 2T 1.65Vdimm), GeIL 16GB 2133C10 Veloce kit: same issue. With G.Skill PSC kit 2 x2GB all is fine !
    ASUS Geforce GTX480 ( 301 WHQL driver )
    Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB HDD
    Cooler Master 1200W PSU

    Thanks for any input, this board has left me stumbled as it works prefectly fine with Ivy, but seems to have lost Sandy out of sight.

    Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

    Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

    I ran i7 2600k on my mobo along with samsung 16GB ulv. 4.8Ghz & 4.9GHz no probs. I then tried new i7 3770K started getting funny boots (i wud restart and pc wud shutdown then start again) I uninstalled all of AI suite and somehow the cold boot problem dissapeared. managed to get i7 3770k @ 4.8Ghz needs round 1.36v im seriously considerin to make it lidless and put some liquid pro on it.

    Are you running a Sabretooth or the Pro board as in your sig ? Need Sabretooth input mate, all runs fine on my other Z77 boards... the board just doesn't post, so AI suite is not the culprit here ( never install it anyway )

    Thanks for any input, this board has left me stumbled as it works prefectly fine with Ivy, but seems to have lost Sandy out of sight.
    Ive had another play. This is what happens when i use 2 X 4GB Sammy ULV i can boot straight DDR2000 pass HCI mem test no probs. Then i thought let me take em out and test the other 2 x 4GB in diff slots. They also pass no probs DDR2000. Then i shut down put all 4 in seemed ok at first then after restart or shutdown. PC hanged or boot cycled loads i had to Power off with switch held for 4-5 secs then start again. PC booted with oc failed msg. Went back into bios and left it at DDR 1600 8 8 8 24 1N 1.45v (4 x 4GB) so far no probs. Damn shame was expecting so much from this mem.

    True so many peeps hitting more than 2133. Any suggestions pls on how to make 16GB work proper @ 1866-2133

    1866 works but sometimes when i switch ON. PC offs once then Ons again boots fine. What should VCCSA be for sammys @ 1866 & 2133?

    More volts on the rams. I can run 2x4GB Sammy low profile at 2400 10-12-12-25 1T at 1.53V but for 4x4GB i need 1.575V.

    Hello, I recentpy put together my nn Sabertooth z77 build, and I have run into a problem. Steam won't download games consistently! Sometimes it works at 5mbit, others it grinds to a halt. This is regardless of time of day or network utilization. I lalready tried removing iControl and updating my NIC drivers from the ASUS website. What else can I try?

    Using a P8Z77 WS.
    I have a 60Gb ssd from ocz to do the cashing.
    Is it possible to utilise only the ssd portion of the IA suite without loading the whole IA suite?
    Is there an alternative SW that can be used for SSD Cashing, to the one provided with IA suite? ( i know i did not bought the ocz cashe ssd)
    Thank you

    Intel RST driver... (you have to install OS in RAID or manually change the iastor setting in the registry) AI suite eats resources
