    Guys a little advice.
I am buying a 3570k. Which are better(4.5ghz on lower volts) Costa Rica or Malayesia? Or which have better IMC?
General speaking. Batch i don't think i could choose very much..
    Or it is a lottery.

It´s a lottery. Even Chips with the same batch are different. Costa Rica and Malaysia have good Chips and bad Chips.
I bought now a 3770K Batch 3214C557 (still in the mail) where the 3 = Costa Rica and the C give me hope for a good Chip, but there is no warranty.

Not so extreme like many of you, but this is what i got till now. Still testing with stock hsf. Atm my cpu runs at 4ghz with offset set to -0.080 (0.80v idle - 1.088v load), LLC standard, VTT 1.60v, Ram 1.60v @ 2133 9-11-9-28 1T. Room temp 26C, 29-36-29-32 idle and 90C max with linx/prime. Lowering VTT from default 1.80v to 1.60v didnt drop temp even 1C at load like some say.

A5G gives a red number if you set offset more than .065v. Is there any real problem with this because I am going to give a try with offset set to -0.090/-0.10v. I ll also try to oc ram at 2200.

The three that I tried were all pretty similar (though the two 3770Ks were identical batches).
    4Ghz 1V, 4.2Ghz 1.1V, 4.4Ghz 1.2V, 4.5Ghz 1.25V all LinX AVX stable.

    Golden 3770k?

CPU Batch L215B620. All results H20-cooled with swiftech block, 360 rad. 355X pump on its own loop (gpu's on another loop). ambient around 25C. multimeter readings actually show 0.012 less than CPU-Z.

3770K 5Ghz @ 1.30V prime stable for 20 minutes just to see what the temps are: . It passed the hot 8K FFT test.

3770k 4.9Ghz @ 1.256v prime stable for 2 hours: . Am using this setting now 24/7. So far so good.

    3770k 4.8Ghz @ 1.216v 21 hrs prime stable completing all 70 FFT lengths:

might try to run 4.9Ghz with the full prime test this weekend. 5.0Ghz might be too hot for full prime test even at 1.30v unless I take the IHS lid off (was thinking about it before I knew how it clocked --- not thinking about it anymore )

I wouldnt beat yourself up, you get a big boost to mhz with phase on Ivy so yours could be just as good

That is a solid chip though phase makes a huge difference with Ivy, it brings it back to Sandy levels.

it's a costa rica C chip? i think i read people being excited about these ones right? lol glad i got a good one, least it seems good so far.

    4ghz 1.065v (1.072 load)

I'm on the stock cooler at the moment, as i wait patiently for my new true 120 bracket. So for the moment I'm just shooting for the 4ghz and seeing how low i cant take the voltage. no long stability test yet, as i've been wary of temps.
realtemp has been reporting nearly 80*C for any voltage i set to 1.075 or higher, i think one core hit 82* at one point. but 1.065 seems to be keeping me closer to the 75*C range at the moment.

    11+ hrs. Folding at 46x:
Goes to show batch means nothing with Ivy. Picked up a L204B450, and its the worst one of 4 that Ive had. 1.33V 4.6 fails LinX, and thats hitting 85C with an H100 push/pull on an open rack.

i5-3570k (Batch# L209C112) results on air (cooled by Thermalright Ultra 120 Ex

Tried to go as low on possible on cpu voltage while remaining at decent overclock..

You are not using AVX on linx, so I'm sorry to say your results are nothing but irrelevant

what is AVX? Well whatever been stable in LinX, been stable elsewhere without a single bsod/crash, so I would say "irrelevant" is too harsh of a word

While AVX is an instruction set that when used by AVX will do a huge load on your CPU. You wouldn't even be able to ran it with the settings you used. Without AVX to AVX is like 10-15ºC more this with top WC.

You must have Windows 7 with SP1 and latest linpack to run linx with AVX.
