What are the prices on those fan grills?

May have to order some if I have enough space in my case. Keep on forgetting to write everything I do down since I have already measured out rad sizes like ten times but keep forgetting to save.

We really haven't even gotten that far yet. Actually, we haven't even ordered them from Bill, but we only have to give him the OK, which will probably happen tomorrow..We will know a price then..

a couple questions about this stuff, as Ive been looking at it for a while.
What are the benefits over regular distilled + kill coil?
    Will it stain my blocks/res/tubes?
Can I shut my PC off and still use this coolant?
Thanks, the bottles look great and the fan grill too

Yes, you can shut off your computer. I have shut off one of mine for months without any problems. As soon as everything gets going the particles will mix back up. It won't stain anything either. You can wipe anything clean.

We will put a picture of all the fan guards on our facebook page when we get them..probably a few days. We are looking at $10 + shipping (which won't be much at all if you are in the USA)..

    rock on

Do the particles improve cooling capability noticeably?

I think that they reported something like a 2c difference.

Hey relttem, could you please do me a huge favor and confirm or deny my last two posts. It would be better if the facts came directly from the source, not just me.

    Thank you.

yes, zinc nanoparticles.. nominal size is 40nm. The 2C really depends on the system. If you are cooling a CPU it will probably be less than that, but if you are cooling CPU, RAM, 2x GPU etc it will be greater. OriginPC on their high end machines got 8 degrees difference. When we run a system like we had at CES with 450W going into the block we get about 4C.

The reason behind that is how the heat transfer is a function of viscosity, thermal conductivity and Cp (Re and Pr). The nanofluid's viscosity is higher than water's at low temperatures, but as you heat it up the viscosity nearly matches that of water's. The thermal conductivity is higher, the Cp is slightly lower. Therefore, at the cooler end, the increase in thermal conductivity makes up for the decrease in viscosity, but at the fluid warms up and viscosities get closer the increase in conductivity pushes the performance past that of water. If you look up Dittus-boelter for internal flow, you can sort of see what I am talking about.

Does Icedragon coolant require a killcoil or a biocide agent or is it all premixed?

Ordered some from Daz and should have it by the end of the week

    *update*

Received my order, now for flushing my loop (using feser 1 atm) should I drain and rinse using distilled water and then let it dry? What's the best way to go from an existing fluid to this product?

If you haven't done it yet. I would hook up everything to to the tap and clean them. Then rinse them with distilled.

Then let it dry. If there is any dye left over it will tint the IDC and not look as good.

Project : Daedra is alive and running; 5GHz at 32c (idle). Thank you Ice Dragon!
I'm still bleeding the loop and messing around with stability before I take it up to 5200MHz and beyond .
I will have some professional pictures taken once we move into our new office and share them with the world.

Flushed and rinsed all my blocks this weekend and I will be swapping out the tubbing just to make sure, just waiting on a few things from Dazmode (Raystorm Adapter as I decided to give SB a go) so I am hoping to have it up and running on Friday
