    GTX 560 Ti 448

Looks like we have a new bang for your buck card. Because it is based on GF110 it should be fully utilized by GPUGrid
With an estimated price of 1/2 a GTX 580 you can get 2 of these cards = 896 CUDA cores instead of 512 cores!!!
Depending on NVIDIA's next gen cards' SM configuration and changes to the GPUGrid app, it is looking like this may be the best card for a couple of years

The other thing to consider though is performance/watt... I've been finding (now that I'm paying my power bill) it's much better to get a single more powerful card than a lot of little ones.

    Hope it's a beast though!

I have the same opinion. If I'm going to buy the card, crunch with it for 6 months until the next "fastest" card comes out, then buy these "economy" cards. On the other hand, if you intend to crunch for years and years, you're better off with a few high-end expensive cards.

See the next card tends to be at least 18 month away and it takes a while for the client to get optimized for the new card anyway. Because of this we can miss the "new card tax". Get it right after the price drops a bit, crunch for 2 years and grab the next one. (That's my goal, though it never turns out that way)
