Here is something till Interlogos shows up for testing. Its a ES Magny-Cours 12 core with unlocked multi. 7 cores are at 3.3gig and the other 5 is at 3.6gig. Best I can do on air cooling and the voltage reg on this G34 motherboard.

I can't say. The same way others kind of show up here.
weird CB @ single core, usually around 0.75~0.85 score here
i'm trying to repeat it but got sleepy @ 4am ~_~

Dave, you're probably gonna hate me for this so eh... sorry dude!
The chip just kept scaling with voltage but it wasn't real easy to beat this score at 20ºC ambient.
Your turn Dave.![]()

nice Zeus, looks like nice chip, what temps did u get in load? It is possible with aircooling?

Thanks Flank3r. To be honest i haven't kept an eye on the temps but i pointed the Infrared themometer on the side of chip's heatspreader and it only read 32ºC or something. This with 5.1GHz and almost 1.55V
I never saw the powerdraw of the entire system exceed 400 watt from the wall outlet druring these cinebench runs. So yes i think it should be doable under good aircooling too but maybe in the end of the test the heatload might get too high.
I've had at least 3 times where cinbench was rendering the very last line of squares when it suddenly froze, see pic where it froze at the last square!
I think it got a little hot at 1.55V lol.

Low leaking FX-4100 on air (Thermalright UEX120 + Ultra Kaze, ambient 18c).
Due to this board being quirky, this is the best I've done so far...and pathetically it's on dry ice. It'll do 4940 on water but I couldn't get more than 5235 on dry ice.
I don't know why CB was detecting it as 4C/8T.

Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.
Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.
Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.
Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.
Rule 3:
When it comes to computer news, 70% of Internet rumors are outright fabricated, 20% are inaccurate enough to simply be discarded, and about 10% are based in reality. Grains of salt--become familiar with them.
Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!
Random Tip o' the Whatever
You just can't win. If your product offers feature A instead of B, people will moan how A is stupid and it didn't offer B. If your product offers B instead of A, they'll likewise complain and rant about how anyone's retarded cousin could figure out A is what the market wants.
Well, I am getting there. Turned the poor mans chiller on and set the speed to 5ghz and 1.58v.....
8.16pts
I'll try again tomorrow and hope for better temps.

1.7v in Cinebench on air...
Also, gotvoltage, your scores seem extremely low...![]()
Smile
That is exactly what I figured.
AMD's 32nm chips obviously can not take voltages that were "pushing thresholds" on 90nm. I was doing validations on my Windsor chip just over 1.7v...
El Gappo hinted that he wouldn't pass 1.5v on air anymore, and it seems really dangerous to push past 1.9-1.95v on LN2 (2.05v CPU-Z scares me a bit, I don't have the money to just buy extra chips)
I would be more careful than a lot of us are being right now.

Seems to be My Bios Holding things back . The temps are fine and this Mobo/Chip combo needs the volts to keep the Vdip down. Anyway im living up to my name and some one needs to see what these things can take...
Ram is very tricky on this mobo .HIGh HTT and or stock htt dosnt seem to make a differance on my Cinebench besideds HigherClock speed and Ram speed
@gOtVoltage
Looking at your scores at OCed speed,I'm sure the chip is throttling badly(due to temp reasons). Your scores are lower than what they should be at those clocks.
@Particle
Interesting anomaly in the detection of FX in CB. What motherboard are you running?
Hmm the 990FXA UD5 .. I think i just found my problem....
RAM TIming in Bios was the blame
Bios was in Auto and timin was not correct for my ram.
BEFORE
After Now its where a 5000mhz FX6100-6core should be
The chip is now running where its suppose to be for 5000mhz. Did some test and it came down to ram timing.. This Mobo/CPU will not go over 2700mhz/NB/HT no matter if its stock or clocked. Even using Stock volts it has always never gone above 2700NB stable.
Well... I managed to squeak past you, but there's nothing left in the cores @ ambient thats CB stable.
I took the v's all the way up to 1.4875 and couldn't even get 1 more click on the HTRef!
My chip just doesn't seem to like v's @ room temps.
If ya beat me again I'll have to work on the IMC (but I know there's not much there either).
Your turn.....![]()
