How long should I let it run? I want to undo the changes and let it run until it crashes to verify that my fix is legitimate.

I don't think that I would have a problem sleeping the system, but I've got to keep pushing on with the endurance testing.

I looked over at the Patriot SF2 forums. There are many unhappy campers over there as well, even with the new 3.3.0 FW (not that I think FW is going to help most users).
It really looks like SF2 drives just aren't compatible with many system configurations. Say what you want about RST drivers and oroms and voodoo magic, but I've found a fix that works for me, though I wish I had more known-problematic drives to test.

I find it hard to believe that I would be the only one to stumble upon this, but if I'm right, everyone is barking up the wrong tree.
