Now there's a new version for our modding guys. It looks pretty nice, but nothing for me. ^^ The controller is the same.

do want. I can solder rather well, maybe I'll dump my 35xs for this, I have a few DDCs kicking around...

    Hello Guys,
Slightly off-topic, but seeing this is the DDC-pump thread.....

Do any of you know if the DDC 3.25's have a NTC 10k thermal sensor on the PCB somewhere? I am planning to mount Koolance sensors to mine, but was hoping there was one already, so I could just tap off that into the system.

    Appreciate your feedback

    Would be a nice feature.....

Right, there are whole lot more people with mostly just "screwdriver skills". So imho presoldered variants should sell five times more then one while slightly cheaper but requiring soldering tools & skills.

Guys I have a few on the way and I put in my feedback of people asking completed boards. I am sure though since they were offered before they will be offered again. As for features I will post a full list once my boards come in.

Oh so DIYHNK's still in testing stage & not offering any more for sale to early adopters?

Awesome please do [AK]! There's still some unanswered Qns in posts #268 & #272.
Unfortunately post linking is broken for now, so I can link directly to them.

The new revised boards are available now. They just aren't available are pre-soldered versions (yet). http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=330579999664

#268 is one of my posts. As for your posts in #272 I don't think it matters at this point as it seems that PWM is still not incorporated into these boards and there is no external PWM board.

I do want to make clear that I do not work for or have any connection to DIYINHK. Any direct questions about their products need to be directed to them.

So these are the no.1 (toshiba) PCB's we've discussed, because they hit higher top speeds/noise?
Might wait for the pre-soldered & then work out how to enable PWM myself.
You mentioned earlier it's do-able, with the right gear etc. of course.

Any idea (roughly) how long before pre-soldered's available?
Or if I'm going to do the PWM mod, maybe I should just do the PCB soldering myself too?!?

#268 is one of my posts.
I know, but 1st part of what we were speculating is highlighted there, along with your thoughts

Oh no really? I thought that was the whole point of their next release!?

Yes these are the revised PCB boards which now have LED's and possibly another revision (will know in a few days). The actual controller has PWM abilities, but they are not activated in this revision I really don't know why. Possibly due to costs. It is possible to work off of what is available and extend the design to where you can have PWM, but you are probably better off doing your own board since the design is simple enough. I have no idea in terms of when pre-soldered option will be available until I hear back, but I will post updates once I get them.

I am guessing these boards are made in batches and once one batch is done they release a revision of the same board with a few extras like they did now. PWM was never guaranteed only speculated.

Is there anyhow to check if the soldered board is work or not prior to disassemble the pump? I have a friend whose occupasion is mainboard repairing, no problem heat gun soldering. But he don't know anything about this PCB. without pre-soldered version, it's seem really out of reach for me.

I hope there will be someone assemble it with MCP355 and re-sell as plug&play.

    Fair enough

I'll prolly buy one then & have a go at enabling PWM, & then soldering the PCB into place.
Not a high priority right now though...
By the time I get round to it, there'll prolly be pre-soldered+pwm available, at least I hope so!

Thanks for keeping us all "in-the-loop" about what's happening.
Beats having to chase em ourselves, much appreciated!

So I just got confirmation about them having a pre-soldered board available soon for those who can't or don't want to do the smt soldering.

For those who are interested in doing the smt soldering on their own, but aren't 100% sure if they can or need a guide would anyone want me to record me putting one of the new boards together on video? If I get at least 2-3 people interested I am willing to record it.

As for having pre-modded MCP355's to sell I may have a few extras in a while.

Yeah I would be interested in a vid!
Because I want to solder one of these boards to a mcp35x (better mechanics than the mcp355).
If DIYHNK eventually sell the boards soldered to mcp35x, I'd be on that in a heartbeat!?

    Thanks dude.

I don't think DIYINHK will ever sell these already attached to the DDC3.2 or 3.25 pumps since their purpose of the pump was to bring dead pumps back to life.

I think I will make the video since it shouldn't be much effort to keep the camera rolling while I solder the board together..

@ DIYINHK: This follows on my ebay message-> what are the chances you can provide 2 pads for a surface-mount NTC thermistor (10k) right next to the controller, and traces with solder-pads for the wiring right next to existing wiring-pads?

Then we can monitor temps of the Toshiba controller....appreciate your feedback!

    Kind regards.

I've bought 18W Toshiba PCB for my damaged MCP350 (3v20 pcb, blue impaler), replaced original PCB but pump didn't started. I've tried two configurations (first time, I've soldered wires from coils in wrong way, maybe Toshiba chip is damaged by this).

Other question - resistance on each coil is aroung 1ohm - is that proper value?

The normal resistance is 0.4 to 0.6 ohm. Perhaps your measuring instrument can't handle such low measured values.

Try to resolder the toshiba. If it not works it is propaply demaged.

I've tried also Sanyo PCB with MCP350 3v20 pump but no luck. I don't have any idea what is wrong.

    I bought this kit: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Laing-DDC-wa...item35b02f9289

After changing PCB pump works great, but IC needs a small heatsink (I've added low profile BGA Thermalright), because on 12.1v pump turns off after a while. When heatsink was added pump is working great
