Waterlogged: to me it looks that they will work with those heatsinks .. if bay above it will be empty or with something like reostat/fan-pump controller.

Nice! I would have never guessed it would be possible...looks good

Do I spy a slightly more refined pump volute too..

With the pumps upside down, I guess the suction side of the pump (bottom) will only be fed by the head pressure from the reservoir level. I will be curious to see how well this works.

@ Tim: You reckon this will work ok in a series-configuration? As long as I keep the primary pump on the bottom, the intake should not suck air? I guess this will work fine then? Anyway ordered the parcel, I should know soon enough. Let me kow your thoughts anyway. Much obliged

One of the units I tested was in series with the 180º connector. If I simply loop a 2-ft piece of tubing around and run the pumps at 12V, it can't be fully bled if there's air in the top of the right reservoir. When I added some flow restriction, the air pocket moves a little to the right, and it quiets up.

    AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

i dont think i have had an order which wasnt under 3 figures @ koolance.
And many of them started out as set to be 2 figures only when i started picking parts out.

Its like u pick up a res, and then you want a DDC sink... and then you see something else thats real nice.. and then soon you notice u threw in another DDC and another res for another loop.

    about heatsinks.

on further looking, it looks astho they wont fit as there isnt enough room on the sides for the silly mounting clips that the heatsink baseplate has..

and naekuh you better watch out. i can start "quoting" you like i do waterloggie!

Oh, I'm gonna be flat lining in the next few days to a week, this res...plus a new case, some black Koolance barbs, MoBo (if ECS ever releases it ), a Crucial SSD, a 400W Seasonic PSU and a Fermi 520. (I am sooooo deadshadedshun.gif)

I'm thinking about cutting the tabs off (it's also why I made the suggestion earlier in the topicwink.gif). . .and you better be careful, turn about is fair play. wink.gifbiggrin.gif

Shoot, all you guys getting in trouble-my wife bought me mine, she wants to see if it's any better than my old XSPC one! Maybe one day I'll get her to give up the D5, but I somehow doubt it...

i honestly think this res is going to be:

LoPTR product... = Lots of Playing Time Required.

Ie... i dont think ur going to get it to work the way u want without fiddling.

To be honest with dual DDC's and a height that small, i already see problems.
But as Tim said, the main point in this unit was single bay dual DDC + res.

And they nailed it... so the playing time is a given.

One of the problems designing it to use our DDC heat sink base is that the inlet flow paths are right next to the pumps (down the center ridge). You can't cut too much in either direction without hitting a coolant path. However, heat sinks which aren't larger than the pump base should be fine.

Mmm...that's some serious spending - good luck with the Boss

You're right there, I'm having similar issues with dual-DDC's and single BP 5.25" bay-res, positioned vertically. If you don't fill the res right to the top, it simply sucks the air in - creates a small vortex, to be honest - and that is with 2x D-Tek Fuzion V2's, a full EK 5970 GFX block and feser 240mm rad.....real high flow system.....probably way to much, but I really want redundancy in the pumps.....

I will anyhow see how this one handles both pumps in series.....

Well, I ordered the res + serial pipe, case and barbs last night, that's about $390 down. . .another good bit ($$$) to go.

The more you hide from your wife the more you are going to get in trouble when she finds out. I just talk it over with my wife and normally it goes ok. I learned from my EQ days that telling her that I have a raid at 2 am and getting PMS'd is better than sneaking off and getting caught.

@ Waterlogged: I am returning back to Melbourne after a week-long business trip, but the Missus has informed me my parcel is waiting - I will let you know how the general bleeding-process is going with this, but learned a few tricks over the many years with high-flow systems, so I will definately feedback over the weekend.

I got the res/pipe and then TMS-200 with Expansion board too, about time I get the dual-DDC's running of a decent controller. I can relegate the mCubed bigNG to the Wife's rig then.

But I will give you my impressions over the weekend, for what it's worth.Keep us posted on your rig too, curious to see what you're up to! Have a good one that side, let me get my butt in the car for the 400mile drive back to home

As I have mentioned, after 20 years of marriage to the same Girl, you get to know the tricks of the trade But this is all in jest though, just having fun on the forums at their expense, hehe. I always inform my Wife when I buy new hardware - well, anyways after I've pulled the pin, just in case.....better to ask forgiveness than to ask permission, as I always say.....

Mine came in today, and it's amazing! Headed back to the house tomorrow to pick up my pair of 35X pumps out of my quad Opty, and gonna put it all together when I get my new sponsored case in next week.

Just a note, check yours for cutting swarf when you get it, I had a lot in the volute when I got it, but it was all loose shavings. All the cuts were beautiful, just this set had a lot of residue in them.

Yeah Mate, I got home earlier and checked mine, same thing.

Still a lot of real-life work ahead of me, some last minute emergencies, so I can only play tomorrow - but all good, I will take pics as I go, and post in my project-log.

Keep us posted on your setup too, much obliged!

    Kind regards,

What, so you can stuff even more DDC's into that case of yours?

if my computer doesnt sound like a Stage 3 Tubro'd V12 with all my DDC's, its not a Naekuh LC system.
